"Quinn!" Kaguya shouted, wanting to make her way to their leader. Unfortunately for her, the enemies just keep piling up as if there is no end to them.

Every other member of the elite has it just as hard. The group in the mountains have finally been discovered and, hundreds of soldiers have been making their way there. However, with the elites present there – the two mages, two archers, defenders, and two healers; things were manageable enough.

They continued fighting on and, although their mana and health bars are still fine, they felt a different kind of strain on their body. One which they are not yet aware of. And Zeke observed at a distance as this finally caught up with the elites.

"They seem to be doing just fine master." Heron said, watching as closely as Zeke is. But, unlike her, the gamer has a worried look on his face.

"I guess I haven't trained you well enough. Look closely Heron." Zeke replied, making the female dragon wonder what her master meant. She stared more intently at the group; using her [Dragon Eyes] to see even the flow of mana and, at this, her eyes widened in horror.

"Oh no." She said, wanting to assist them quickly but, Zeke stopped her.

"Master. At this rate they might just die." She continued, but Zeke only swayed his head sideways in disapproval.

"Let them be. They need to pass this trial on their own merit." Zeke said.

The gamer thought that he needs to teach the group to be independent. That is, the thought of him saving them should never cross their minds. He isn't a savior nor a saint after all. Zeke just wanted to get things done with and, for this to happen, he needs to move as quickly as they are. So he stood up, getting a questioning look from Heron.

"Their leader said that they can finish it in an hour and a half." Zeke said, referring to Quinn.

"I'll hold on to that promise of theirs. I've already supplied enough mana on my part. Continue sustaining the barrier until the time limit set by that leader of theirs." Zeke said.

"Wait. Where are you going master?" Heron asked again, seeing that Zeke plans to go off somewhere.

"My body seems to be completely healed now. So, I'll be paying my regards to the other fortresses." He said in reply, coating himself in dark mana.

Heron could do nothing but sigh, knowing that she could do nothing to stop Zeke. She only nodded and asked her master to not overwork himself.

"Don't be silly Heron." Zeke replied, finally disappearing from the scene. He knows full well that, the only way for them to get out of the hellhole they are in is for him to always push his body to its limits. There's no other way than this and, Zeke knows it. That's why, even though he needed to dedicate himself to guarding the elites, he decided to hasten things up and actually fight on his own once again.

"They'd be fine." He thought to himself as he arrived at the first fortress.

"That prideful leader of theirs won't fail me."

Everyone heard the explosion happen and, on the site itself are both Quinn and the general. Quinn's armor has parts of it broken by the attack while, the general stood perfectly unharmed. His body is now purely covered in dark flames, making Quinn wonder what the [Primal State] of his enemy could actually do.

"I'll explain it to you so that you understand." My power in this form develops an ultimate resistance to every element type and skill type that hits me. The more you use, the lesser options you'll have." The general began, holding a one-handed axe, larger than any great sword which Quinn has ever seen.

As it turns out, the mace and shield of the general are actually parts of a single weapon. The mace itself is the handle while, the shield is cut in half, revealing axe blades hidden inside it. Quinn remembered the first general they faced and how, the [Primal State] of that general also offered a different weapon.

"I hope you can deliver boy." The general said as he made a huge swing with his axe. Quinn had a lot of options for a counter-attack but, every vein in is body screamed for him to run away. To evade, to dodge to hide. And he followed this instinct.

On where he previously stood, the earth got split in half and so did the sky. A wave of black flames came with the swing – making the earth shake with the power it held.

"You should've finished me earlier boy." The general uttered, getting close to Quinn without him even noticing. But the human was able to activate [Overdrive], making him able to react to the surprise of the general.

He changed his weapon to a shield and, met the next swing of the general head on. He activated all defensive abilities within his arsenal in order to lessen the damage and the impact. Yet, even this is not enough.

With the full force of Kel'Thraz' [Primal State] Quinn was sent flying. He hit building after building, sending them down like they are made by nothing more than stacked up bricks. His armor shattered entirely, leaving nothing but his clothing.

And, because Zeke used up all his defensive abilities on the blow, Zeke was left with nothing more than his own shield to soften the crash, using [Overdrive] once again in order to force his body to be in the best defensive state even though he is already in mid-air.

"Here's another thing boy. All the attacks you use against me gets converted into my own energy." The general said, having his axe overflow with mana.

The attack I used on you just a while ago contained half of the damage you dealt to me." Kel'Thraz went into stance, with his Axe greatly outstretched to his back.

"This is the other half." He finished, swinging his axe so hard that even space itself seemed to get split in half. All the force of the attack got aimed at where Quinn crashed to. With the general knowing that he doesn't have long to live, he wanted to end the fight in the most glorious way possible.

The whole battlefield heard the sound of the explosion and there was a large beam of darkness which rose towards the sky. The Elites knew that this may mean danger as, it once again came from the area of battle between Quinn and the general.

"You better not die until I defeat you." Jake said, finally finishing off the hundred soldiers surrounding him and, moving on to the thousands marching forward. Joining him are Mirio and Vorst who have just about finished cleaning up the enemies within the fortress.

Meanwhile, the general wanted to proceed to where the other intruders are. In fact, he was so sure of his victory that he already turned around and prepared to make a leap.

"You were a worthy opponent boy." The general said but, before he could even jump up, a voice spoke back.

"I'm not sure if I could say the same for you." Quinn replied, punching the back of the general so forceless that; the general couldn't even feel any strength in it.

He turned around to see the tattered enemy. From the looks of it, the boy didn't have much to live. Yet Kel'Thraz wondered how Quinn was able to creep up to him in such a short amount of time and, without making any sound.

"I see that you want to die facing your enemy." The general said, raising his axe up.

"A worthy choice." He continued but, before he could even swing, Quinn whispered something.

The feeling of getting hit by explosions after explosion soon followed, shocking the general who was sure that he had complete invincibility against these attacks. What came next was the sensation of his body getting pierced through by the lance and coupled by the feeling of his flesh getting burnt by dark flames.

His real body was intact. No damage was actually done to him yet, the general was in so much pain that he didn't know what to do next.

"That skill is a little something I learned through my own merit. Do you like it?" The leader of the elites said, regenerating right in front of Kel'Thraz.

The general made a beast-like howl as he forced himself to stand up again. Quinn could see how the tips of the general's mouth is salivating and, the human simply got disgusted with the creature.

He uttered the same spell again and, this time, the pain multiplied a hundredfold. The demon general continued swinging his axe like a madman while Quinn finally stepped away. There was no force to it as the strength slowly left the general's body. Again, no real damage was being made yet the general could feel the pain.

Quinn then began using new skills. Real ones damaging the general. And this added more to the amount of pain he already needs to bear with. Then Quinn used the skill again, making these newly added skills add to the sensations felt by Kel'Thraz.

And, after a few more minutes, he dropped to the ground. His eyes turned blank and, consciousness slowly drifted away from the general. Quinn walked up to him and touched his head, deciding to finally end the fight.

"Thanks for all the attributes and skills you'll give me." Quinn began as he said:

"Consume."
