The battle occurred with both Zeke and his new summon fighting a general each. He knew that the enemies don't have that much time and so, would definitely rush to finishing him off. And this is true enough as, the general fought by Zeke released the spikes on his shield.

The spikes flew, chasing after the gamer who continued dodging them one by one. He didn't let any of these hit because, there might be a certain effect that would come off upon contact. He tested this out by having one of his [Conjured] hit it and, surely enough, the [Conjure] got encased I iced within a matter of seconds.

"Now that's intense." Zeke thought to himself as he continued fighting the enemy general who still had a bunch of spikes left. Zeke thus proceeded to shooting them down from a distance using a single fully charged bullet. With a bunch of accuracy related skills being activated, Zeke's bullet was able to make contact with three spikes.

An explosion quickly followed. But to his surprise, the spikes came out from the cloud of smoke created by the explosion. Still perfectly fine and, not being affected by the explosion. Not just this, but they suddenly sped up - almost hitting Zeke who had to quickly [Conjure] again in order to shield him from the attack. But it didn't end there. In fact, the attack froze the ground where Zeke was about to step on and, surely enough, the gamer slipped on the ice.

He recovered quickly, using the blade of his weapon but, the enemy was also quick. He already fired the second batch of these homing things while also throwing his shield at Zeke. The gamer dodged this by jumping up and, it is a good thing that he did because the shield suddenly released four blades on its sides – making it look like a glaive.

"To be honest, I have no idea what the hell this weapon is supposed to be." Zeke thought to himself - seeing the weird form of the weapon of his enemy.

This shield-glaive also had a boomerang effect, returning from the direction it came. Zeke tried shooting it but, the shield was too sturdy to be taken down by a half-charged bullet.

Zeke took the fight as seriously as possible. In fact, he decided to take it so precisely because, he'd probably fight hundreds of these generals soon. As far as he can tell, things like destroying a whole continent's military forces cannot be hidden for long. And so, he measured it out, dodging, attacking and seeing how much damage he could really deal.

"Stop moving around!" The general said irritated.

On the other side of the battlefield, Zeke saw through the corner of his eyes that his new [Conjure] is doing fairly well. In fact, it is doing so well that is was able to cut off one of the arms of the general. This triumph didn't last for long because, the general automatically regained a new arm as rapidly as the blink of an eye. This was an odd and off-putting sight. It almost seemed like an illusion, how the arm was cut off because of how fast it regenerated.

"I've never really tested the regenerative abilities of these generals." Zeke thought to himself.

Then, his enemy made him focus as the general threw the shield once again. The gamer wanted to observe more but, he thought he should see it for himself in order to understand the skill better. That is why, he performed a quick combination of skills.

He dashed toward the general and summoned three conjures around then, he performed [Shadow Dive] over and over again. This is coupled by a skill called [Burst Stream] – forcing his body to accelerate forward even without any momentum and, this is as fast as the speed of sound, making it virtually impossible to defend against.

Hence Zeke made continuous cuts to his enemy, three in fact, cutting off the general's two limbs and one arm. The amputated general was just about to hit the ground when, all his body parts came back but, Zeke noticed how the regeneration was a bit delayed.

"That looked a bit slower." He said to himself, trying out the combination again before the enemy could regain his composure.

This time, he added six more [Conjures [ positioned around the general and, using the blade of [Death's Void], continued hacking through the enemies. Each and every time, Zeke would look at the speed of recovery while the enemy screamed in agonizing pain. Yet, the general couldn't do a thing because he could not follow Zeke's pacing who relentlessly attacked. It should be remembered that, [Death's Void] can cut through any physical object, making it the ultimate piercing weapon even without having to add any skill to it.

The only downside is how short the blades are but, that didn't matter because Zeke could reach his enemy perfectly fine. And, even if the general tried attacking him, he could simply switch to the gun mode and pull the trigger.

"Tell me which part I should cut next." He said, taunting the general who seemed to get tired the more he needed to regenerate. After the enemy finally dropped to his knees, Zeke stopped the assault, understanding the ability completely.

"Tell me, does every general have that insane regenerative ability?" Zeke said to his enemy who now sweated profusely, drooling from the side of his lips.

"Why should I tell an enemy of the empire." The general said and Zeke sighed with frustration.

He knew that many of the soldiers and generals were actually forced to join Glade's ranks at the start but, seeing one now made him realize that they are beyond saving. Power has probably made them cling on to the king, wanting more of it after getting a drop of taste. And if that's the case then, [Primal State], the epitome of all this is then incomparable to everything else since it gave the biggest number of benefits to whoever has it.

"Forget it, we're done here." Zeke said but, just as he was about to end the miserable life of his opponent, the general smiled at him. And, this sent an immediate response to Zeke's body knowing that, something mortally dangerous is about to come.

The general is actually famed not because of his offensive ability but, because of his defensive powers. Although not having much when it comes to offense, the general could win even without having landed a blow. And that is because, he had the same skill which Zeke had back then. Or rather, the same skill which Zeke wanted to have on his first run in Mythos – [Backfire].

The skill has two effects. The first is that it returns all the damage dealt completely. There is no escaping this, because it is not a projectile nor homing skill. It uses the damage dealt to the skill owner as the base amount and, multiplies this depending on the level of the skill.

The second is, the person owning the skill could also choose the targets and even multiply them Meaning, the damage accumulated on a single battle could be divided to as many opponents as the general deems to be dangerous. And not only this, the name[Backfire] is named so because of something that happens to the bodies of those affected.

Adding to the damage returned, an explosion of flames will burst within the organs of the enemy and, the full explosion of this would be released at the back of the enemy in the form of flames. Kind of like how a bullet would have a larger exit hole, than an entry hole because of the scattering of particles inside.

With Zeke understanding the situation, he tried to back away from the general but, his enemy triumphantly said:

"TOO LATE!" - using the skill and, sending back all the damage to Zeke Elwood. The explosion came soon enough, with the general focusing the whole skill on Zeke, thinking that his ally could handle the summon decently well.

He stood up, regaining even his armor clad in black because of the mana emitted by his [Primal State]. He brushed the dust off if his armor and, proceeded to the fight of his comrade.

"You had no chance from the start." Were the words he said as he watched the pieces of Zeke's flesh rain down.

Unfortunately for him, the gamer is already well versed with all of these things. With all the trickery and deceit and surprise attacks that caused his comrades' lives to end, Zeke knew better than to come to a battle unprepared. In fact, from the moment that he decided to finally get out of the cave, he already had a preventive measure for everything.

And for his specific skill type, Zeke had one of his old skills [Blood King's Curse].

On its maxed-out form, the curse gives two things to Zeke. One is partial immortality based on the conditions and, the second is, an increase on attribute points depending on the amount of excess damage dealt to him. This attribute increase Is time bound and so, it'll fade in an hour but, before that could happen, Zeke made sure to make full use of it.

With the cloud of smoke that made him seem dead, Zeke immediately used [Presence Vanish], making the enemies unaware of his presence. He also mixed the mana of [Cloud of Dreams] around him, enabling even the sound he cerates to vanish.

With [Blood King's Curse], Zeke 's weapons turn into the weapon of the Blood King himself: a Halberd. One which Zeke would only use for the second time now. The weapon still felt weird when held but, Zeke didn't mind because of all the power it gave him.

The gamer got coated in a crimson red cloak, mixing with the dark shade he already put on. Making him look something that came from the depths of the underworld. His eyes glowed even brighter as if it resonated with the skill, making the gamer look more like a predator – ready to devour its prey.

Then, with all of this set, he made one large leap, catching up to the general using two shields. Zeke swung the halberd and, only needed to use the blunt part of it to shatter both shields to pieces. This sent the general flying toward the other one and, upon impact, both of them hit the edge of the barrier.

Zeke then threw the weapon at them, cleanly piercing through both which made blood splatter around.

"Crap. I forgot I'm not supposed to be throwing it." Zeke said out loud, still unused to a weapon he has only used for the second time.

"Well no matter." Zeke continued, snapping his fingers and making the halberd glow a crystal red color. It shone brighter and brighter until, it began consuming the two generals within it. Zeke saw the gruesome scene and, wished that nothing of the sort would happen to his body.

Slowly, the flesh of the two generals, together with their armor, got consumed by the weapon. They screamed from the immeasurable amount of pain, but there was no escaping the skill. Once it activates, it'll continually eat anything it touches until nothing is left.

After a minute, the two got completely sucked within the halberd which then lay on then ground. The color seemed to come to life but, slowly died out as it vanished into thin air. Zeke still felt some danger to the weapon but he paid it no mind.

"At least I know it's effective." He said to himself, finally deciding to move to the dragons.
