Today Add had not been draped in mud, and only applied the leaf and bark paste to hide his scent. He quickly dealt with the five goblins with little effort. His improved strength helped him kill them without taking any damage.

Add cut off their years and went on further to search for more prey.
"Something is amiss...the forest is quiet.....almost too quiet....."
Add noted. His instincts were telling him that something was wrong, but he couldn't exactly put his finger on what it was. As he was looking around for more goblins.
"Hmm ? What's that sound ?"
Hearing some suspicious noises he took some twists and turns through the thick undergrowth, and reached a small forest path. It looked like an abandoned road which had never been used in years, the path was almost completely covered by bushes and grass and if not for the missing trees, Add would not have been able to recognise it. The sounds still continued and he followed it, the source of the sounds growing closer and closer. When he finally got to it, he saw a large group of goblins, around 20, moving about. It seemed it was a type of a camp.
Add observed for sometime deliberating whether or not to attack them. Although it was a big, group, it was a few hours to evening, and Add didn't want to waste time searching for smaller groups of goblins. He observed for a little while longer and silently approached within the cover of trees and bushes. When he was little over ten metres away from them. A goblins was moving towards him, without the slightest idea of his presence. Add waited till it was close and suddenly charged towards it. Before the goblin could shriek and alert its companions, Add had already slit its throat and it died gurgling on blood. Add then moved closer to the group but two goblins saw him.
Add instantly crushed one goblins throat killing it and stabbed the other in its chest, but it began shouting wildly alerting the group. The other goblins immediately saw Add, and quickly gathered around him. By now Add had killed three goblins and the stench of blood was slowly filling the air. He looked at the critters. They were gazing at him with hatred and malice, their faces scrunched up in rage. Add looked at them, griping his knife and relaxing his body. The goblins already began charging at him from all sides.
"Might as well end it quick..."
A goblin charged at him with its makeshift spear, Add avoided it with ease sending the goblin rolling with a kick. Another one jumped at him with a dagger made of animal bone, but he caught its hand and pierced its eye with his knife killing it. He threw the body aside and dodged an incoming club, sending a roundhouse kick on the neck of a goblin snapping it. Add's level 5 strength was more than enough to decimate the whole group. Soon almost all goblins were killed leaving only a few.

As Add was going to finish them the goblins they suddenly ran in separate ways screaming very loudly, making him frown, but he decided not to chase them, as he had already killed over 20 goblins so he shook his head and began cutting off their ears. Add then viewed his status and increased his Endurance and Strength by one point each, and increased [Body Strengthening] to level 5 and [Unarmed Combat] to level 3.

Add now had 900 CP, a hundred more and he would have enough to buy a gun. He finished his job and began moving out of the forest suddenly he felt something was off. He looked back, his gaze intensely scanning the undergrowth. Within moments tens of goblins flooded out of the surroundings. Looking closely there were some new types of goblins mixed in them. These were not the normal goblins. These had stronger bodies and held rusty weapons swords, daggers and spears, probably plundered from humans. Add scrunched his brows. This time they were a lot more than any group he had tackled before.
"Its better I retreat for now....."
Add picked up the sack of goblin ears and dashed away from the horde of goblins, he was roughly 2 kilometres into the forest so with his speed in a few minutes he would be out of here. But suddenly he had to stop. His face was cold as he looked before him. Another large group of goblins had blocked his path. He looked around, more and more goblins were appearing from the surrounding thickets.
"Looks like I stirred the hornet's nest this time...."
Add regretted letting those screaming goblins run away. Their shouts must have alerted the other goblins. He understood that he had no way of getting out with out a fight, but his enemy numbers were well over 50. Fighting so many opponents in this narrow forest area was a futile effort.
"I should just cut a way out, once I am out of the forest, I don't believe they will be able to keep chasing me."
Add made up a plan, and abandoning the sack, he ran towards the goblins before him. Although some goblins were stronger, most of them were still the normal ones. Add just had to clear a path and escape. He sliced a goblins face, kicked some away and stabbed others. With his upgraded skills and stats it was easy to insta-kill normal goblins. They went down like sticks before his deadly and fast attacks. A goblin with a short sword slashed at him but he parried it with little effort and punched its face in. In a few minutes he killed over ten goblins and was successful in opening a path among the horde. But as soon as he began running away from the horde his scalp tingled and he jumped backwards. The next moment many arrows hit the ground he was just on.
"This day is getting better by the minute...."
Add said with gritted teeth. He saw a few goblins holding bows and arrows sitting on trees some distance away from him. He tried to find another route but more arrows kept flying towards him making his speed slow. The horde of goblins took this chance and soon caught up to him. Add's face was cold, he stood with his back to a tree. In his mind he was thinking of a way to get out of this siege. The sun had nearly set by now and the forest was drowned in the murky red hue of sunset. The goblins' yellow eyes were bloodshot as they gazed at the human before him.*Gigigigi* *Gigigigi* *Gigigigi* they roared and attacked him. Add held his knife tightly and readied himself.
In the silent forest, the dusk was not the only reason for red anymore.
