Asher had to cast Cleanliness on himself a few times before he was presentable again. He got back to the room and everyone was sitting where they were before. Not looking at Tyranis or Lyola’s mothers in the eyes he sat between Tiff and Zora.
“I miss much?” Asher asked.
“They did rare materials, but nothing too fancy,” Eliffy said with a yawn. “Also accessories. There were some ½% mana affinity items, but you got us all better stuff than that. They sold for a bunch so we didn’t bother bidding.”
“True,” Asher said. “What’s next?”
Weapons and Armor went next. There were some nice stat increases, but nowhere near worth what people were paying for them. One had as many stats as his Champion Gear had, and someone paid 20,000 Syscos for it. Surely these people were only elites.
“How do we place a bid?” Asher asked. The girls pointed to a button on the small coffee table in front of him. Bored, he pulled out some playing cards. He and the girls were soon playing poker. Some knew from their instances of strip poker. The humans explained the rules and they were quickly getting into it, even Siela appeared happy.
“Eliffy, I hear you have some interesting playing cards,” Asher said. She blushed while trying to hide her cards from the others.
“I do,” she said. “What about it?”
“I was simply curious why we haven’t tried any of them,” Asher said.
“You want to?” She asked excitedly.
“Of course,” he said.
“What? What are you talking about?” Lyola said.
Joon began laughing. She leaned over to her ear explaining. Eliffy’s people worshiped a god of sex. Instead of tarot cards they used cards with different sex positions for trying to predict fate. Each position meant something different.
“I want to see,” Lyola said, extending her hand. Eliffy rolled her eyes, but a white light in her hand appeared. A stack of blue cards were revealed. Lyola quickly began looking over them. She and Tillie’s eyes widened as they went from card to card.
Her face blushing she turned around to make sure her parents weren’t looking. “We should try this tonight.” Turning the card around it was a weird one where partners were feet to head and their genitalia was lined up while they fucked.
“Oooh, I like,” Tiff said. “And with your extra appendage,” she implied looking down to his groin. “We could add others into the mix.”
“Fine with me,” Asher said, trying to picture it. Lyola quickly went through the cards. She and Tillie giggled as they whispered. Then it was Tiff and Zora’s turn.
“Come on virgin, quit pretending to not be looking,” Tiff said, pulling in Siela. Siela blushed but joined in. When they were done Nsabita and Gen looked them over. Next to Eliffy she commented on a few for the most recent virgins. By the end he was ready for another round of girls, but the Artifact part of the auction began.
They continued playing cards as they idly watched the auction going on. There were some interesting artifacts. There was a staff called Rod of Ruling that supposedly added a Leadership Stat to a person. That went for a lot. Then a blue orb that continuously poured out water when mana was around. They had to store it in a manaless box to keep it from gushing out. Tyranis noted someone from a desert planet probably won it. One item supposedly let you speak to monsters. Another made it so monsters would continuously attack you from miles around. He wanted that one, but he didn’t bother at 40,000 Syscos. He could just level Sex Bomb and try to do the same. All went for well over what Asher thought they were worth.
As the Artifact session wrapped up there was one final item, and of course this had to be the one that caught their eyes.
“The last for the artifact session is the statue of the goddess Nyron,” the female auctioneer said. “Recently dug up from the Plisteez civilization it is known to focus on Sex Mana. Unfortunately all Identification attempts have failed.” Asher studied the statue. It was of a tall woman, she wore very little clothing. Not much was left to the imagination as the statue was very detailed. Long thick hair, luscious lips, a firm back side and large chest. The statue was on a large boulder.
“Nyron was the goddess of fertility for the Plisteez people, and it is said that-”
“What are the Plisteez people?” Asher asked.
“That was a famous Ruin before Loradmere,” Eliffy said.
Asher and Tiffany got up as one and moved to the balcony. The bidding for the statue had started. Using Mana sight and sense there was nothing, but still he felt something coming from the statue. “Do you feel that?” Asher asked.
“Yeah,” Tiffany said as she stared at it. “She’s so sad.”
“What do you mean?” Asher asked.
“I don’t know,” Tiff said. “But I want her.”
Asher nodded and they headed back in. The amount bet was already at 30,000 Syscos. Asher pushed the button. It soon became a bidding war between him and another individual.
“35,000 Syscos-40-45-50-55!” The announcer said excitedly.
The price got up to 60,000. Asher bit his lip but pushed the button one last time. “Going once, twice, sold,” the announcer said. Asher let out a breath of air. Tiffany excitedly clapped. Looking around the room everyone was more than a little surprised that they had willingly spent so much.
“Sorry,” Asher said. “A sex mana thing. Lyola, darling, I may need to borrow some Syscos.”
Lyola rolled her eyes but nodded. “Fine, but scoot over.” She sent him 65,000 Syscos. He accepted. Zora got up onto his lap and Lyola sat next to him. Asher kissed her happily.
“Thanks my sugary baby momma,” he said.
“Why am I sugary?” She asked.
“Because….you’re so sweet,” Asher said. He wasn’t sure if sugar mommas were a thing on Elantontrin.
“It’s your money anyway,” she said.
“Our money,” he corrected. “Guess we will have to make some more?”
“Oh darn,” she said. “That’s the worst part.”
Zora clapped happily. “We haven’t done that in a long time.” It had been some time since they used to make money for the guild. There was a knock at the door. Asher and Tiff got up. Since Zora was already there he carried her along with. An attendant was there. They asked for the Syscos. Asher transferred them, the person walked in, pulled the statue out of their own storage ring and walked out.
The statue was much more imposing now that it was in front of them. 9 feet tall the woman was in a pose that reminded Asher of Luna from Final Fantasy X. Her arms waving as if she was twirling, her sleeves trailed behind her. Made of a hard smooth gray stone he could feel the Sex mana coming off of it.
“She’s almost alive,” Tiff said, circling it. The statue became the center of attention as everyone studied her. Asher used ID.

“The Sex Mana is pretty strong,” Asher said as he looked up at her face. She appeared human, but could have been high human too. Either way she was beautiful. “Why did you want it?”
“I don’t know,” Tiff said as she stared up at the statue's face. Asher watched as she used Mind Mana on the figure. He half expected her to say there was a person inside. Tiff shivered as she drew back. “The statue is so sad.”
“You think?”
“Uh huh,” she said. “Just an impression.”
“Why don’t you hold onto her then,” Asher said. Tiff nodded as he walked away. He cuddled back up with Lyola and Zora. Eventually Tiff put the statue in her ring as the last part of the auction began.
They started with the desirable Revive skill book first. He thought it was a steal at 10,000 Syscos. Tyranis noted there might not be a lot of Life Mana specialists in the audience. The skill was probably very restrictive. It was still worth it to him.
Next they tried to get the Firestorm skill, but it sold for 20,000 and Tillie didn’t want it that bad. The Magma mana book sold for 25,000 Syscos, but it wasn’t worth it either. Lyola thought she had plenty of time to awaken it. The Creation skill Building Blocks went up and they bought it for 4,000 Syscos for Genevieve. Enough for some people to live years, it was easy for them to spend. Then Nsabita’s StreamJet skill went for another 2,000. They bought both of those happily and soon the 3 books were at their door. Asher paid for them and passed them out.
More skill books were put up for sale. Eliffy had hoped for a Fate Book, but there was nothing. They yawned and idly chatted as they watched book after book sell. The Fracture skill book went up for sale but was quickly at 20,000 Syscos. Joon called it off since she was struggling awakening Rift Mana anyway. The Astral Projection skill went up, but Tiff lost interest. She felt like the statue was more than enough for her. Finally it came to the Extinct Skill Book: Ice Age.
“We have a real treat for books to finish them up,” the announcer said. “Found in an ancient dungeon, this skill book teaches Ice Age. Not only can it make temperatures plummet around you to sub zero instantly, but you can also affect the Mana Leylines or Branches of a planet. This would permanently make an area connected to the Leyline or Branch colder.”
There was a hushed silence as they showed the book. It looked old and tattered, the same as the day they had stolen it. “I’m so excited,” Eliffy said. “What do they estimate it will go for?”
“200,000 Syscos was the last estimate,” Tyranis said.
“Only one way to find out,” Asher commented as the bidding began. It started at 100, then quickly was at 200. Then it jumped up to 250 and slowed down. “I wish we could know who was bidding,” Asher said.
“Oh no, you wouldn’t want people knowing you bought your statue would you?” Joon asked.
“Guess not,” Asher admitted. Although he was curious who he had been bidding against for the statue. The bidding on the Ice Age book wrapped up at 280,000 Syscos. There were some excited exclamations as it finished. Tyranis had already paid them 100,000 Syscos for it, and everything over that he promised to Lyola.
“How much of a cut does the auction house take?” Joon asked.
“For this high profile of an item I was able to get them down to 10%,” Tyranis said. That left them about 150,000 Syscos.
“I assume that was your book?” Siela asked.
“Oh right,” Asher said. “We-Lyola’s grandfather found it in a dungeon.” Still at League Prime he wasn’t about to divulge the truth. The auction moved onto the selection, planets.
“Should we head out?” Asher asked. He wasn’t about to buy another planet. The auctioneer went through a long monologue for each one. Discussing it’s location, known resources, monsters available, the Tier.
“I think we will stay for a little-” Tyranis tried to say, but was interrupted as someone knocked on the door.
