"How can he change the screenplay at the last moment??"
Early in the morning, Tang Lan shouted in a distressed voice and looked at the new screenplay in her hand.
It was the screenplay of the last episode, but it was completely different than what she had memorized earlier.
The changes Director Chen Pu had made has entirely changed her dialogues and now, she needed to remember it again...
She can't help but frown because of that.
"Sister Tang, I don't think we can do anything here. You know Director Chen Pu. He's the type to do what he wants and he doesn't listen to anyone."
Na Wen who was sitting on the side said, hoping that Tang Lan would calm down.
As a person who had some bitter experiences with Director Chen Pu, he knew better than anyone else that trying to argue with him was like fighting a tiger barehanded.
But Tang Lan was still not ready to listen.
"I know what you mean, but I also have respect and power as the female lead. I will go talk with him about it.
Tang Lan said, like she would really go and argue with Director Chen Pu. She even stood up from her seat, but at that moment, a voice came from behind her.
"You are not the only one whose dialogues have changed and I think the changed ending is better than before. Just think of it as an improvement to the drama and swallow it."
Everyone turned back after hearing the familiar voice. The male lead of the drama and the heavenly king, Hou Qian was coming towards them.
He seems to be slightly sleep derived as he was constantly yawning.
"I know all that, but still..."
"Think back to the time when Director Chen yelled at Na Wen and ponder on whether you would be able to stand against his temper."
Tang Lan did what Hou Qian said and a slightly feared expression appeared on her face. Even Na Wen made a weary expression, thinking back to those painful days.
'If I really went to argue with him, then that crazy old man would surely chew me out.'
Tang Lan thought and shrank back to her seat. She didn't dare to go against Director Chen Pu directly, but she still voiced out her complaints.
"Don't you think it's unfair to change the screenplay when only the climax is left? It's hard on all the actors."
She looked at Hou Qian while saying that.
If there was someone who could change Director Chen Pu's mind on the set or even confront him, it was only Hou Qian.
He was a heavenly king and his status was more or less the same as Director Chen Pu.
That's why, Tang Lan tried to plead to him, but he just shook his head and replied.
"I know that it's unfair, but that old man works like that. He would do anything to make the drama even a little bit better. Moreover, I think Ren is the person whose dialogues changed the most. If he is not saying anything, then you should just close your mouth."
Hou Qian glanced at Ren while saying that. Ren, who was silently reading the changed screenplay raised his head when he heard his name getting mentioned.

"Ren, don't you think it's unfair. We should band together and protest."

"Senior Tang, I'm fine with the changed ending and I agree with Senior Hou's views. The ending is better this way."

"What are you smiling about?"
As he was thinking back to his preparations for Cao Xu, Hou Qian suddenly turned to him and asked. It seems like Ren was unconsciously smiling while thinking.
"I'm just thinking about Cao Xu."
"Your character? Well, he's getting an ending that will satisfy him and the viewers now. You must be happy about it."
Ren stared at Hou Qian with some surprise in his eyes.
He hasn't even said much, but Hou Qian has already guessed what he was thinking. Maybe this was the experience of someone who is given the title of a heavenly king?
'He sure is strange.'
Ren was feeling like that since the time he had met Hou Qian. It was a strange feeling. Every time he talks with Hou Qian, he feels like he's talking to someone with a profound knowledge.

But the answer he got was unexpected.
"It's a small role I did for a movie called «Pet town». I was just a supporting actor who appeared for like 10 minutes, but that was my most memorable role."
"Huh?"
Ren made an extremely confused expression hearing that. It was not a lead role, but a supporting role. Moreover, it was really a small role.
"You haven't heard of that movie?"
Hou Qian asked, noticing Ren's confused expression.
"Yeah, I haven't."
"Well, it was a flop. So, no one knows about it. The main leads of that movie even stopped getting roles because of that disaster of a movie."
Hou Qian said with a laugh, reminiscing the time when «Pet town» had released. He had gone to watch it alone, only to find that the theatre was empty.
It was the first and last time in his life that he watched a movie in the theater alone.
"I don't understand. If it was a flop movie and just a small role, then why do you still remember it and you even called it your most memorable role in your acting career?"
Ren asked and stared at him. His eyes looking for an answer.
