She knew though that if she really loved him though, then this time she had to let him go, he was too good for her, and maybe this would be good for her as well though. Or maybe if she really cared about Joseph she would have to change herself for him since he'd always been changing for her.
It was unknown as to what happened to her after she drove back to her house, what she had decided to do hadn't been written into the annals of history as there were much more pressing events that happened to the world less than a month after he had left. The world up to this point was actually strangely peaceful, though it did have a lot of drama, it was actually relatively terrifying when historians look back on the peace that occurred in that one small month.
To give an example, North Korea's leader passed away, and no heirs stepped up to receive the seat he had left, so it went to another person who actually craved progression so in less than 2 days of getting power he joined hands with South Korea. Then, in the middle east, all members of terrorist cells were captured after walking to various military camps and praying to the skies, when later interviewed it was stated that their god came to them and told them of what they were doing wrong, and how we must cherish human lives.
It was pushed aside at the time due to a large amount of pushback from groups attempting to squash the claims of a god being seen or speaking to someone, the heaviest pushback was from the catholic and christian churches who adamantly refused to acknowledge any vision of god that 'criminals, rapists, and murderers' saw, and would only acknowledge it should it happen to the pope. The historians then wrote as a note, something on the side of the pope at the times image, that he did receive a vision, but it was right when he died so it was unknown as to what the content was.
Aside from that, corrupt politicians all over the world had almost simultaneously been exposed on the internet, most notable among them would be various leaders such as the President of the United States, Donald Trump, then for Russia it surprisingly wasn't Vladimir Putin, but it was multiple other people. There were at least 5 politicians being tried per country, with the most being the US with a whopping 493 different politicians. It wasn't just a single one of their parties that were bad, both political parties had roughly the same numbers of people that were doing shrewd things and abusing their powers.
That was all within the first week. After that, the United Nations assembled with all the new leaders and the non corrupted ones that had now taken their positions and were able to make the most progress that the world had seen yet. The United States was now much more supportive in global efforts such as climate change and had instead decided to focus on helping the people of their own country instead of being the world police they had elected themselves to be, Germany throughout the whole situation took advantage of the politicians of other places being corrupt to gain an even larger foothold in the EU, upgrading their status from economic powerhouse to being a superpower. It in fact was nearing the China in total income, the only thing that was holding them back was land, however the leaders knew that they would only repeat history and instead decided to use expand their space programs.
Many countries were doing amazing things in fact when the month of peace had ended, however very few of them were actually made to fruition.

They actually were almost undetected, which would have been a good thing many historians have said, since these beings were actually highly arrogant and didn't think a single person could witness them. However, in a slight moment, a small toddler who had watched a superman movie that his parents bought earlier that day shouted, and these words will always be etched into history, 'Is that superman?' These words aren't just special because the man was flying, but due to the fact that these were actually the last words spoken before all figures snapped their fingers and made a layer of dust descend on the world at the same time. After it had cleared the toddler looked up to see if the man was still there, but nothing was there.
The world that had been the same for so many millenia had now been changed into something perverted by 1 child, however nobody would blame the child as there was actually many more people who had began to notice the flying people around the globe. The next chapters in history describe the darkest times that humanity had faced, and probably will ever faced. The historians don't call it Armageddon or Apocalypse, though they do call it something much more disturbing, bloodbath for the rise.

There were some that were actually quite happy with that, among them were certain... off people who had often gone to the doctor for diseases in their nether regions that should not exist. However, the group that wasn't odd were those that had been preparing for survival situations for years, and strangely enough a large majority of those people had survived for a long time according to the historians that were experts of this time, roughly 80% of the so called, 'Survivalists' survived through the whole apocalypse, many of these people actually became the beacons that humanity needed.
One such man that was the most influential was Newl Cagby. (A/N: If this is someones name... I took random letters and tried to make a somewhat sensible name. Plus I mean, hey now you're a pillar of humanity!)He was in his 30's when the zombies rose up, and as soon as he got the news on his radio he had everyone that he cared for and that was still alive come to his house as he spent his entire fortune he earned through the lottery, work, and stocks, on just surviving. He had a large enough bunker to house 50 people for 150 years comfortably, various animals, various seeds for different plants, fruits, and vegetables, weaponry, and entertainment areas. He sadly only had 5 people that were still alive, however they each brought a couple people that they knew, and within the day they heard the news they were locked away inside of the bunker.
For years they persisted down there, when it hit year 5 Newl knew that it was time to finally venture out, and after he stepped outside there were actually survivors inside of his house. He had gotten ready to fight them, but a young woman that was scared convinced him not to as there were children present. He then remembered some of the children that were growing up underground and nodded. Eventually this motley group of 23 people (children included) became his core supporters. Within a week he had retaken the city that he had lived close to and rescued hundreds of survivors, yet he did not stop there, he continued spreading his influence and growing his supporters until the day he died at 62. He died of a heart attack sadly, but nobody will forget what this man did. His group alone accounted for 60% of Europe being reclaimed, 55% of Asia, and all of Australia.
That however happened over the course of years, decades in fact, this world was one that was forsaken by those that humans had once called gods, and though it took them very long, they did survive, however the losses were not small with, at the end, 95% of mankind dying. Though the next generations tried to learn from their predecessors there were, as is something that happens, those that persisted in being horrible humans.
