For the nth time on the fifth day since Timothy stormed out of Jake France's office he received a call from Alissa.
With a disgruntled sigh, he finally answered.
"I am in the airport, come with me, I'll bring you somewhere," was her first words.
"Why should I? For all I know it might be something to make me speak with Amber," he replied with irritation in his voice.
"Stop being a child and just come, it will be for you as well," Alissa said.
Instead of replying he just ended the call.
Alissa sighed she had expected this already.
At the very least, she was already able to tell him that she was in airport. The only thing she can do now is to give him the details and wait.
Timothy soon received a message.
FROM: ALISSA COLEMAN \u003e\u003e\u003e I'll wait no matter what. \u003c\u003c\u003c
The next message was a detail about a flight to Star Country, he frowned upon seeing the country.
This was Alissa's home country but why would she want them to go there?
With a scoff he decided to ignore it, the departure time was noon of this day and the current time is 9 in the morning.
He placed his phone on the side returning to his work.
At around 2 in the afternoon, he received another message.
This time the departure time was 6 in the evening.
He just glanced at it but still decided to ignore it. She would surely get tired sooner or later.
After that another message was 12 in the middle of the night.
Something he read after waking up the next day, together with it was the next flight, which were 6 in the morning.
He still ignored it.
But that continued for three days, upon receiving the message of the next flight at 12 in the afternoon of the third day.
His face was already dark, he has no idea if she went home or not but she had been changing flights for the past three days and surely that is not cheap.
They have the money but simply being thrown away because of him, don't sit right in him.
He stood up and took his jacket before leaving the building, going straight to the airport to berate her.
Upon reaching the departure area, he found her sipping some coffee with a sunglass on. Her complexion was not good either.
This made him frown even more.
'Was she here for the whole three days?' he thought before approaching her.
"What the hell are you planning?!?" he instantly asked the moment he was close to her.
Alissa looked up and upon seeing that it was finally him, she stood up.
"Good that you are here, let's go," she said before walking ahead of him towards the gate.
She looked back and saw him just standing there.
"Look I am doing this not for myself nor for Amber, I am doing this for you. So let's just go shall we? I assume that you have your passport with you, right?"
Somehow he ended up bringing his passport since yesterday. Subconsciously he already wanted to go to her.
But his pride of being talked down by Amber with them witnessing it stops him from going to her.
And hearing her say that she was doing it for him, his heart just jumped and his mind turned blank.
Seeing as he was still standing there, Alissa approached him and held his hand pulling him to the gate.
After getting to their sits, Timothy finally returned to his senses and he faced her to ask.
"Whe-"
"Stop, don't ask me anything, I am completely tired and seriously having a headache. You'll know when we get there, just let me sleep," Alissa instantly stop him from asking before she closed her eyes.
She couldn't really sleep properly for the past three days. She didn't want to miss him when he did decide to come.
So with shower and changing clothes, she barely slept. It was just a good thing that there were some resting rooms within the airport.
Timothy seeing as she was truly tired no longer asked and allowed her to rest.
He checked his phone and checked her schedule. He found out that the past days before she decided to wait in the airport was full pack. She had events here and there.
He wanted to face her and wake her up and ask her, "Are you stupid or what? Do you want to collapse again?"
He sighed heavily before he felt something fall on his shoulder.
Looking to the side, it was her who was still in deep sleep.
He brushed off a few strands of her hair, before he put his arms around her shoulder allowing her to sleep even more comfortable.
'Don't stir my emotions even more. I am already faced with the fact that Amber had slapped with some stupid senses, don't make me even more confused now,' he thought before he too closed his eyes.
He maybe sleeping but it was always light ones. Little sounds would always wake him up.
So he too was tired for the week.
It was an hour later that Alissa slowly opened her eyes, she was stunned when she felt their position.
She slowly looked up and found him sleeping deeply as well.
'I hope that you would be able to find peace once you found out everything. And be someone who can protect Amber as well, the journey she chose would be very dangerous that you will surely get hurt as well.'
She soon returned to sleep and both of them were asleep for the whole duration of the flight.
"You should wake up now, we have arrived."
Alissa slowly opened her eyes and almost jumped out of her chair when she realized that most of the passengers were already off their seats.
"I'm so sorry," she apologized looking at him.
She felt even more embarrassed when he was massaging his shoulder.
"I'm sorry about that as well."
Timothy just shook his head, "It is fine, let's go."
After going out of the airport, it was already sunset.
Timothy followed her and found out that she had actually rented a car already.
He stopped her when she was about to open the driver side of the car.
"You are still tired, let me drive. Just give me the location of where we will be going," he said.
Alissa didn't stop him for she was still sleepy and the drive to where they were going is about four hours.
She typed the location in the GPS of the car before she closed her eyes, it didn't took long before she actually fell asleep.
Seeing this, Timothy could only shake his head.
He drove but the speed was much slower than usual, at least this would allow her to rest longer.
The sky was completely dark when they arrive to where she wanted to bring him.
He looked around and found that the place seemed to be a private property.
The gate made his brows furrowed, a sign was in it, "An Eye For An Eye."
"Who would put such sign on their gates?" he spoke.
This woke Alissa and upon seeing that they have arrived she stretched.
"We have arrived," she said but upon checking the time she found that they arrived two hours later than what she had expected.
"Have we been here long/" she asked.
"No," was his reply but he was still staring at the gate.
'Did he drive slower?' she thought before going down the car.
Hearing the door, Timothy snapped from his thoughts and went down as well.
"This seemed to be a private property, are you sure that this is the place?" he asked.
"Don't worry we are in the right place," she said raising the key for the lock.
Upon getting close, he suddenly felt like he didn't want to know what was up there.
He hesitated.
Alissa noticing this held his hand, Timothy looked down at her.
"Let's go."
She didn't tell him it would be fine for what he was about to learn will never make anyone feel fine.
He let her pull him along, but every step he takes going up the stairs started becoming heavier.
"I don't think it is a good idea for me to be here," he suddenly blurted out as they almost reached the top.
Alissa glanced at him before she pulled him up the stairs, she can feel the reluctance in his steps but they can't runaway now.
Not when he was adamant that he loves his younger sister.
In order to stop him from regretting anymore, she could only show him the truth.
To show him the truth of their past and of their present.
If he really loves Nathalie then knowing everything now will save him the pain of knowing that he had been hurting his sister all along.
"You can only face it now Timothy, you have to," she said as they reached the top.
