Chapter 490: Somewhere Fun
Lu Chen and Song Yanmei got into the car.
Looking at the car, Song Yanmei was speechless. She saw it from afar, but now she was staring at it up close. It was a clean and beautiful car. As Lu Chen drove, Song Yanmei asked,
"Where are we going?" Lu Chen did say they were going on a date. But never said where.
Lu Chen gave a mischievous smile, "Secret. Also, we should go back to your home first."
"Huh?" Home? Wait........Are we doing that?! Song Yanmei's brain went into overdrive as only one thought came to her. That could be the reason why he wanted to go to her home.
But I'm not ready! Sure, she felt Lu Chen was different from the men she had met. But this was way too fast!
Lu Chen's eyes twitched as he explained,
"You're overthinking it. The place we're going to is somewhere casual. I don't think a dress is going to help you there." Lu Chen could go as he was right now. He could take off his blazer and vest; he would look casual.
But Song Yanmei, on the other hand, wore a blue dress. It was too formal and didn't look good at the place they were going.
"Just where are you taking me?" Song Yanmei continued to ask this as she stared at Lu Chen.
"Somewhere fun." Lu Chen's words were calm and collective. She couldn't read it.
"Alright. I'll put it in the GPS." Song Yanmei placed the directions into the GPS. Following the GPS, Lu Chen arrived in front of a large apartment building.
"What's with the frown?" Song Yanmei asked as she noticed the frown on Lu Chen's face.
"I didn't expect you to live in an apartment building." Lu Chen thought it was a mansion instead. Song Yanmei scoffed,
"Why would I need a mansion when only two people live there?" Only She and Fu Ah Na lived in the apartment.
"I see. Well then, go get change. And I will stay here." Lu Chen said calmly. And Song Yanmei said mischievously,
"Oh, you don't want to come upstairs?"
"If I come upstairs, you would think I have evil intentions." Lu Chen scoffed.
"Hmpf. Your loss." Song Yanmei shut the door as she entered the building. And it didn't take long for Song Yanmei to come back out,
"So this is what you usually wear." Lu Chen said with interest.
"What? Is there anything strange about it?" Song Yanmei questioned with a frown. She wore jeans and a cardigan sweater.
"No, it's a change in pace. You look more cute than sexy." Lu Chen asnwered back. It was a different feeling when he looked at Song Yanmei now. It was warm instead of noble air coming off her.
Song Yanmei scoffed, "How are you this good at complimenting girls?"
"I don't know." Lu Chen shrugged.
Song Yanmei sighed, "You're too dangerous for your own good."
"..." Not my fault. Lu Chen didn't think much about it as he started to drive again. It didn't take long before they arrived there.
"What is this?!" Song Yanmei looked out from the window, questioning what she saw.
"There's a carnival going around these next couple of weeks. And there's no time like right now to come here." Lu Chen explained.
