Chapter 626: Mental Breakdown
"Do you think I would lose in profit against Chu Jingyi?" Lai Liqin frowned.
"Of course not." Zhou Hai said. There was no way Chu Jingyi could beat Lai Liqin's album. Silverlight had used its money to recruit the best people to create songs for him. He was sure ARCS didn't have the same level of support.
"Then don't worry about it." Lai Liqin said with a confident expression.
"Alright." Zhou Hai had nothing to say.

While that happened at Silverlight,
"It's time for the MV to come out." Lu Chen said. But Zhang Jian retorted,
"Why do you sound so tired?!" When Lu Chen said that, his voice was heavy and tired.
"CEO, are you ok?" Chu Jingyi asked. But Lu Chen turned to Chu Jingyi, "I blame your crazed fans." Including my mother too. Releasing the music video was supposed to be a joyous occasion. But it was anything but joy. Lu Chen was hounded down by people who were super fans of Chu Jingyi.
Like Zhang Wenling, they hated the idea of Chu Jingyi changing his image.
"How is it my fault that you changed your image?! Why am I getting blamed for it?!" Lu Chen grabbed his head as he shouted in anger!
And the first target of his fan's anger was him!
Hey! I'm not the one who chose to do this! Chu Jingyi was the one who decided it himself!
Even at home, he couldn't catch a break. Zhang Wenling was hounding him down. He left before she could glare at him a few more times.
"Well, this is rare." Zhang Jian quipped. Lu Chen having a mental breakdown was a rare occurence.
Chu Jingyi scratched his face, "Sorry, CEO. I didn't know that changing my image would cause this much hate."
Lu Chen turned to Chu Jingyi, "Didn't you have an image change back in Silverlight or something? They're acting like I'm killing you."
"You see, I didn't have an image change."
"What?" "Why not?"
"It's because I looked good in my original image that there was no need to change it." Chu Jingyi's popularity kept increasing even when he didn't change. There was no need for him to change it.
His songs were focused on an uplifting ballad.
"So this is your first time." Lu Chen sighed deeply. No wonder they were so angry. As he thought hard about it,
"Hmm?" Lu Chen turned his head upwards to see Kang Shuchun grabbing his shoulders,
"Young master, let me massage your shoulders. That should alleviate some of your stress." Kang Shuchun saw it all at home. And she felt bad for her young master.
"Thank you." Lu Chen gave a warm smile.
"..." Can you two not do this in front of us single dogs?! The three had dark expressions as they watched Lu Chen getting massaged.
"Thanks a lot. I feel much better now." Lu Chen said as he rolled his shoulders. He turned to Chu Jingyi, "I guess it's time for your fans to see your change."
This change would bring something good. Chu Jingyi wouldn't be a one-trick pony. Yes, Chu Jingyi might not hit the limit. But how much longer? There had to be a limit, and it was coming soon too.
That was why it was a good idea for Chu Jingyi to try new images.
