Zhou Hai calmly said. But when they heard that, the board members' expressions turned dark. What? He is back?
"Is he trying to make a comeback?" All the board members remembered what had happened. They kicked Chu Jingyi and Tan Quan out of the company and replaced the two without a thought.
Especially so for Chu Jingyi, his breakup was horrible. They threw him out of the company and left him to die.
It wouldn't be surprising that Chu Jingyi came back to bite them.
"Which company did he join again?" One of the board members asked. They knew Chu Jingyi had joined another company. But they weren't focused on him as he wasn't on the news these days.
"ARCS."
"Oh, you mean that company? Why should we worry about him?" Another board member scoffed.
"Do you understand what's going on? This is a detriment to the company!" Zhou Hai scolded. If Chu Jingyi was coming to get revenge, this would become a problem.
"Detriment? How can he be a detriment? Do you understand what position we have compared to theirs?" They were Silverlight, one of the top 3 companies! ARCS was only a newcomer. Even if Chu Jingyi joined the company, it didn't change the fact that it was a new organization.
"It doesn't matter. It's the fact that Chu Jingyi will come after us."
"If you're so scared, then you deal with it. After all, you're the CEO." Another one scoffed.
"..." You guys are waiting for me to mess up. Zhou Hai frowned at the others.
Wolves. That was the only way to describe this situation right now. He was surrounded by a group of wolves, everyone waiting for him to show signs of weakness.
This board member wasn't working together. They were all in it for themselves.
Before, Tan Quan was the one in control of Silverlight. He had the most authority and gained the most too. And everyone wanted a piece of the pie. That was why all of them worked together to take him down!
But once Tan Quan was out as the CEO, what came afterward was deciding on a new CEO. And it was annoying, to say the least.
Zhou Hai was the one who took up the role of CEO. But he knew this was only temporary. The board members were all waiting for him to mess up. They want to take him down and become the new CEO.
"CEO, why are you so worried about Chu Jingyi? He's nothing more than an old timer." The person who said this was Lai Liqin, the person who replaced Chu Jingyi and became the face of Silverlight.
"As long as he still stands, we can't stop worrying about him." Zhou Hai said.
Zhou Hai understood Chu Jingyi's popularity. He knew as long as that man was in the entertainment industry, there was no way they could be safe.
"You need to relax. Chu Jingyi is old news now. And we don't need to care about him too much." Lai Liqin said again. Chu Jingyi was the old face of Silverlight. And he was the new one.
Anyone could tell that he was better than him.
"But this date is saying that he wants to challenge us." Chu Jingyi wasn't the only one who released a new album. Lai Liqin did the same thing a few days ago!
That was basically sending a challenge to him!
