Chapter 657: Time To Change
Kong Qingzhu was so grateful for Lu Chen helping her out. But Lu Chen shook his head,
"It's fine. And besides, this is beneficial for me too." Lu Chen answered calmly. If he was asked if this was done out of the good of his heart, Lu Chen would say no way. It was only half. The other was for Kong Qingzhu to join ARCS.
First thing first, I need to end it. Lu Chen turned to Elder Wu, "Elder Wu, I want you to take it down."
"Hmm?" Kong Qingzhu was surprised, "You won't let it go?" She thought Lu Chen would let Wen Peng off after handing the contract to them.
Lu Chen shook his head, "There's no way I can let them go after all the things they did." The number of illegal things that place did was too many to count. After seeing all of that, Lu Chen didn't trust him.
"Understood, young master. I will send people to deal with it." Elder Wu nodded and left them to their own devices. Lu Chen looked at Kong Qingzhu up and down,
"What's wrong, Mr.Lu?" Kong Qingzhu asked. He had been doing that for quite some time now.
"We need to change your style and everything."
"Huh?"
"Come with me." Lu Chen didn't think about it as he pulled her into the car. It didn't take that long before arriving in front of a mall.
"Mr.Lu, why are we here?" Kong Qingzhu tilted her head. But Lu Chen didn't say anything as he entered the store.
"Welcome to our store." One of the staff welcomed them in.
"I want you to bring every piece of clothing you have." Lu Chen said as he pulled out a silver card from his wallet.
The staff's eyes widened, "Right away, honorable guest!" She quickly ran to the back. Seeing how fast she ran, Kong Qingzhu looked at Lu Chen in shock.
"Mr.Lu!" Kong Qingzhu asked, wondering what he was doing. Lu Chen turned to her and explained,
"Since you're going to join ARCS, that means you're one of my men. And I won't let one of my men dress in rags." Lu Chen had been staring at Kong Qingzhu's clothes the entire time.
And it was weird to say the least.
She had a beautiful face, but it was overshadowed by her clothing. They were all hand-me-downs.
Kong Qingzhu understood now. And she quickly waved her hands, "But you shouldn't waste money on me! You've done more than enough for me!" She could tell all those clothes were expensive.
Lu Chen saved her, and now he was about to spend more on her!
Lu Chen shook his head, "You don't have to worry about it too much. The place we're at is someone I know." This was Deng Haoren's store. He gave him the highest membership.
"Umm-" Kong Qingzhu didn't know what to say.
"Just go into the dressing room, and don't worry about it." Lu Chen pushed Kong Qingzhu by the shoulders, sending her into the dressing room. He turned to two other staff,
"Please help her get dressed."
"Understood!" The two staff nodded as they entered with Kong Qingzhu.
Lu Chen sat outside and watched the staff bring the clothes for Kong Qingzhu to change into. Guess I need to wait here.
