Chapter 670: Find A New Investment

Lu Xiaotong smiled, "Of course, I knew. You didn't hide your displeasure in your expression." Lu Xiaotong noticed it. Lu Chen's expression was dark as he talked. Lu Chen was alright with that.
And he heard about Elder Wu finding information about the Jiang family. With how much Elder Wu had followed Lu Chen, Lu Chen was the one who ordered him to do it.

Lu Chen sighed, "I can't hide anything from you, Dad."
"Why do you not want me to invest in the Jiang family?" Lu Xiaotong was curious as to why Lu Chen would want that. Lu Chen explained,
"I don't want you to invest in the Jiang family because it wouldn't bring profit for you."
"Mmhmm, and why?"
"There's too much competition for the product." Lu Chen took out the paper Elder Wu brought to him, "With so many products competing with it, I doubt it would make any gain."
The best way to change Lu Xiaotong's mind was to talk about yield. He was a businessman. The best way to explain it to him was through money.
Lu Xiaotong looked through the paper. He looked back up, "Xiao Chen, let me ask you something. How do you know those companies will be better than your Uncle Jiang?"
"..." I can't say I came from the future, right? Seeing him silent, Lu Xiaotong explained,
"What you said is reasonable. Compared to the other investments, the Jiang family's product is a bit inferior to theirs. But you forget that they are the Jiang family. They have the reputation from their other products to assure their customers."
Having prestige was important. The customers would know that the product was secure.
"..." Lu Chen had nothing to say. Lu Xiaotong added,
"And I doubt I can pull out now either way." Lu Xiaotong sighed. He already signed the contract.
"If I tried to terminate the agreement, there would be a fee I had to pay as well." Lu Xiaotong added. Pulling out of the contract would make him take damage to unimaginable proportions.
"I see." Lu Chen understood that. He asked, "But what if I bring you an investment that could outweigh everything you placed in the Jiang family. And the fees there as well."
Lu Xiaotong's eyes widened, "You're this serious about not wanting me to take this investment?" He was surprised. He didn't think his youngest would be this adamant about him not taking the contract.
"Yes."
"If you can find a better investment for the Lu company, then I will gladly back out of the company without a thought." Lu Xiaotong answered.
"Understood." Lu Chen nodded as he left the room without a thought.
What would he bring to me? Lu Xiaotong was curious as to who his son would bring to him.
