Chapter 671: His Idea
Bai Geming was drinking tea and relaxing. Today was a calm day, as nothing happened. Well, it was a good day. His phone was ringing, and he looked down to see it was Lu Chen. Why is the brat calling me?
"Hello, young Lu. Why have you called me?" Bai Geming was surprised that Lu Chen would call him. If anyone called him today, he would be pissed. But not Lu Chen. He was still indebted to him after what his daughter and grandson caused.
"I want to speak with you about something." Lu Chen said. Bai Geming asked, "What is it?"
"I should ask you in person rather than on the phone. I'm in front of your manor." Lu Chen explained. He arrived at the Bai family's home.
"Ok." This was another surprise. Bai Geming turned to Fu Bolin, "Bolin, I want you to let him in."
"Understood." Fu Bolin walked out, and it didn't take long before Lu Chen and Fu Bolin entered.
"Greetings, Elder Bai." Lu Chen bowed his head. Bai Geming shook his head,
"Save it. You don't need to do something like that." With everything that happened before, there was no need to do any of that.
Lu Chen smiled, "Alright. I also brought some tea with me." Lu Chen raised a small bag and handed it to Fu Bolin.
"You didn't have to bring gifts."
"I wanted to." Lu Chen said as he sat across from Bai Geming.
"What's the reason for coming here?" Bai Geming asked.
"What? Can't someone come and greet an elder?" Lu Chen shrugged his shoulders. But Bai Geming scoffed,
"Do you really need to come here without anything to do?" Bai Geming knew the moment Lu Chen said he was at his home. There was something he wanted.
"Can't hide anything from you." Lu Chen chuckled as he explained, "I want to discuss your family's acquisition of the district in-" Before Lu Chen finished his sentence, Bai Geming spat out his tea!
"How do you know about that?!" This acquisition was done in secret. No one knew about this except for the Bai family. They were going to reveal this secret at a later date.
Lu Chen shrugged his shoulders, "I have my informants." Lu Chen remembered that the Bai family had acquired land. And they built many hotels and homes.
What kind of connections does the kid have? Bai Geming was curious.
"What I want to know is whether or not you have investors?"
"Of course, we don't have any investors." It was a kept secret. There was no way they would call anyone.
"Do you want to invest in it?" Lu Chen shook his head, "I want to invest in it too. But it's not me this time. My father wishes to invest instead."
"Huh?"
Lu Chen nodded, "My father wishes to invest in your land." This was his choice. With the land finished, the Bai family got more than they had invested. Thricefold!
Lu Chen knew if his dad invested in it, even if he terminated the contract with the Jiang family, Lu Xiaotong would profit.
Bai Geming placed his cup down, "You understand that we don't need anyone to invest in our projects, right?" They were the Bai family. They didn't need anyone to invest in their projects. They could do it themselves.
