Chapter 672: Cashing In The Favor

"Even if you're the Bai family, that doesn't mean your all-powerful." Lu Chen smiled, "Construction isn't your forte." The Bai family had a lot of different types of companies. But construction wasn't one of them.

"Plus, my father owns a sub-company that deals in construction." Lu Chen added. The Lu family, on the other hand, had one.
"Hmm?" This is good. Bai Geming thought about it. What Lu Chen said was correct. They planned to construct hotels and stores there for people to rent. Having someone who knew construction would be good to have. But,
"You made good points. But they are only good points. Do you think we would choose you just because of this?" Bai Geming retorted. Everything would work out well. But it was too well for the Lu family. The Bai family would benefit, but not that much compared to the Lu family.
This was bad for business. When one side gained too much more than the other, there was something wrong.
"I know. That's why I'm cashing in that favor you owe me." Lu Chen smiled. He anticipated Bai Geming's understanding of who would profit more in this situation. But he had a trump card. The favor Bai Geming owed to him.
Bai Geming looked at him strangely, "Do you think that debt would be enough?"
Lu Chen nodded his head, "Yes. I'm sure. Elder Bai said that if it was in your power, you would do something for me. This is within your power. And Elder Bai is a man of his word."
"..." Bai Geming was silent. But in the end, he sighed, "Alright. Bring your father over so we can discuss this."
"Thank you, Elder Bai." Lu Chen bowed his head.
"Yeah, Yeah." Bai Geming rolled his eyes. The two talked for a bit more before Lu Chen left the mansion.
"Master, was this really wise?" Fu Bolin asked.
Bai Geming shook his head, "It's fine. Besides, it would be beneficial to have the Lu family's support."
He's a tad too inexperienced at negotiating. Bai Geming was testing Lu Chen. And he was impressed with him. However, he was still green. If Lu Chen had pressed harder in this negotiation, he didn't need to use his debt.

"Xiao Chen, what did you do?" "Yeah, Little Brother. What in the world did you do?"
Lu Xiaotong and Lu Aotian stared at Lu Chen. Their hearts were about to explode. They couldn't believe it. Last night, Lu Chen came home like a freight train. And he told them that they needed to go here.
"Dad! You agreed that if I found a better deal, you would terminate your contract with the Jiang family?" Lu Chen repeated what Lu Xiaotong said that time.
