Chapter 698: What Happened?
"What the hell is going on?!" Liao Jin roared as he threw the remote to the ground! It didn't take long for the news of the Bai and Lu family working together to be on TV. It was an interview between Lu Xiaotong and Bai Ling.
"Director Bai, why have you decided to work with CEO Lu?" The interviewer asked.
Bai Ling smiled as he explained, "Our project would need the expertise of someone who works in construction. Our Bai family doesn't have many connections with people. But there was one we could rely on."
"Oh wow." The interviewer turned to Lu Xiaotong, "CEO Lu, Director Bai has high expectations for you. How do you answer this?"
Lu Xiaotong smiled, "I'm honored Director Bai values our corporation highly. I will prove his words with this project going well."
Those bastards! They ruined everything he owned! To make matters worse, they were working with their family too! Liao Jin couldn't accept this.
"Why aren't they picking up?!" Bai Liu sat across from him. When she saw this interview, she didn't hesitate to call Bai Geming. But all her calls went to voicemail.
"..." Do you think they would want to talk to us? Liao Jin stared at his wife with scorn.
He didn't think his wife would be so foolish.
Bai Liu was about to walk out when the bodyguard blocked her way, "You must stay here."
Bai Liu glared, "Do you think you can stop me?" She was going to push him away. But,
"No! One! Will! Leave!" The guard coldly stated as he stood in her way. The killing intent caused Bai Liu to flinch and step back.
Liao Jin held his head. Trapped rats. That was the only way to describe their situation.
The day when all of it was revealed, Liao Jin and the rest were dragged back to their home. They were cornered on all sides.
They couldn't leave their home without a bodyguard watching over them. The only place they didn't have a bodyguard was their room. Other than that, they were watched all day.
Bai Liu walked back to the sofa. Liao Jin asked coldly, "Where is our idiot son?" He didn't hide the scorn and contempt as he asked. Everything was Liao Yan's fault.
If he didn't get caught, none of this would have happened! The only reason why they went to the Bai family for help was because their son was captured.
Everything his son did was brought to the table. Remembering the anger Bai Geming and the rest stared at them made him clench his fist.
Bai Liu rolled her eyes, "Where else? He's in his room."

Liao Yan has been in his room for a few days now. He had a blanket over his head. His face was haggard. He couldn't get what happened out of his mind. Those endless days inside that hell. Thinking about it was enough to cause a stinging pain to rise from his back.
His face was dark as he stared off into space. But as he thought about why he was doing this, a phone call came from his phone. Liao Yan looked down and grabbed it to see that it was Long Shen.
"Brother Yan! You finally picked up again! Where are you these last few days?" Long Shen asked with a worried tone. He called Liao Yan a couple of times now.
He needed to figure out what happened. When his first call went through, he questioned him. But Liao Yan said nothing. And Liao Yan closed the call the next second!
Long Shen called him a few more times. All of them went to voicemail. It was only now that it went through.
