But Long Shen shouldn't have asked something like this. Liao Yan exploded, "Shut up! I don't want to talk about it! That bastard Lu Chen screwed me over!" "But he took out all the assassins that my family sent." Liao Yan sighed. A guy like that was dangerous.

Liao Yan sighed as he explained everything that happened. He did skip everything that happened to him. That was something he was taking to the grave.

"And now I'm on house lockdown." There was no privacy. Everywhere he went, there would be a bodyguard waiting for him. The only private place was his room.
"I see." Long Shen thought about it, "Brother Yan, there's no need to worry so much. With me here, I will help you."
Liao Yan's expression brightened, "Really?"
"Of course. Since I called you my brother, I will help you anyway."
"Thank you, brother."
"Good. Rest now." Long Shen didn't say anything else as he closed the call. When he did that, his expression turned dark as he went into thought.
Dammit. Liao Yan has lost his use. Liao Yan's family was destoryed and he was on house lockdown. He had nothing. Long Shen planned to have an alliance with the Liao.
But there was something else that was disturbing from what Liao Yan said. Liao Jin sent assassins to deal with Lu Chen. These people were strong. Liao Jin wasn't a fool compared to Liao Yan. He had to send professionals to deal with him.
But Lu Chen came back fine and dandy.
That meant sending people to deal with Lu Chen wasn't a great plan anymore.
I need to rethink everything about him. The image of a dumb Lu Chen was too engrained in his mind. Like Liao Yan, he suffered many defeats from him.
That was why he had to play this calmer.
Long Shen thought about it. I need to be equal to him. Finishing Lu Chen was the finale. What he needed to do now was to have an equal standing with him. Only then could he finish him off.
How do I change how the family thinks of me? Long Shen frowned. The first thing he needed to accomplish was to make Liu Dingxiang and the rest of the Liu family think of him as their true son-in-law.
