Chapter 722: At That Age
It didn't take long before Lu Chen and Kang Shuchun changed into ordinary clothes. The two walked down the stairs. But Kang Shuchun giggled as she stared at Lu Chen, "Lu Chen, you don't have to be so sad." As they walked, Lu Chen had an expression that looked like he ate sh*t!
"How can I not?!" I missed such a great scene! Lu Chen had an idea of what Kang Shuchun wore.
"You saw me in all of those before." She had worn several things before.
"Yeah. That's why I know you wore something nice." That was why Lu Chen was so sad. He could tell Kang Shuchun went over the top with this one today.
Kang Shuchun chuckled and brought her face closer to Lu Chen's ear. She whispered, "Maybe next time."
"Is that next time going to come soon?" Lu Chen tilted his head as he questioned.
"Who knows." Kang Shuchun smiled as she entered the dining room. Lu Chen sighed as he walked in behind her. Everyone was in the room. But Lu Chen frowned. Hmm? What's going on? He felt something was up. The room's air was weird.
"Shuchun! Come sit down." Zhang Wenling said with a smile as she walked to Kang Shuchun's side. She led her to the seat next to her. Kang Shuchun smiled while Lu Chen frowned.
"..." Lu Chen sensed it. Zhang Wenling was doing the same thing again like all the other time. But he felt it. He didn't know what it was, but he felt something was off. Lu Chen sat next to Kang Shuchun. He stared at Lu Xiaotong, Lu Aotian, and Lu Hao.
"Shuchun, try some of these." Zhang Wenling placed food in Kang Shuchun's bowl. Kang Shuchun quickly waved her hand, "Aunty, you don't need to do that."
"It's fine. You're going to be family." Zhang Wenling quickly explained with a confident expression. That caused Lu Chen to frown even more,
"Huh?"
The other three shook their head. You're going to let it slip!!!
Kang Shuchun's expression turned red when she heard that. Lu Chen stared at the rest. They had weird expressions.
They quickly turned their heads away. Something is definitely up. Lu Chen was never so sure in his life.
Lu Chen and Kang Shuchun continued to eat. But Zhang Wenling said something the others didn't expect, "When are my grandchildren coming?"
"Pff!" When Zhang Wenling asked this, Lu Chen spat out all the food from his mouth. Lu Hao sat across from him. His eyes twitched as he wiped the food from his face. Fine! I won't yell at you.
Lu Chen wasn't focused on Lu Hao as he stared at Zhang Wenling,
"What are you even saying?!" Where did that come from?! There was something really wrong with what she said. Zhang Wenling shrugged her shoulders,
"What? I was asking when my grandchildren will be born. You're at the age where you will have a child."
"..." Lu Chen had no words to say. He was too stunned to say anything. It took a few seconds for Lu Chen to snap out and retort, "If you want grandchildren, then look at Lu Hao and Lu Aotian."
