Chapter 127  Mu Father And Daughter! by Harem-Fanboy

I managed to get back in bed with Mary before she noticed I was gone, so I hid under the warm blankets with my wife, the woman I have spent the most time in this world with. I rubbed her belly til I fell into slumber...

-

I was gently prodded awake by an angel with short-blonde-hair and blue-eyes. I could instantly tell, this was not our normal exercise day based on what she is wearing, then I remembered.

"Mercy, is it time to go visit?"

     "Yes, Master."

     "Today, it is Rick."

     "What?"

"I am not visiting with your mother as your Master, but just me."

Mary stuck her face out of the blanket and told Mercy.

"Don't be stubborn today, and both of you get out, so I can sleep, geez... Zzz.."

With Mary buried under the quilts, she had almost forgotten she was there, she only nodded to me in agreement.

-

After a fast hot-shower and change, I was ready to go back out into the snow.

I am wearing my black-bodyguard-longcoat and sunglasses. This is what Mercy told me to wear. A martial outfit for a martial family.

Mercy is wearing bluejeans and a blue-sweater with a golden colored scarf. She has on her fluffy-winter-boots that go up to her knees, and she is really looking extra feminine in her black-knee-length-coat. She is also wearing a pair of sunglasses, due to the snow reflecting the bright-sunlight this morning.

But what is confusing me is the Chinese Broadsword she is handing me. I take it, recognizing it as the weapon I took off Laura Long as a trophy, but it is in perfect condition, well maintained and sharpened. My eyebrow lifted at Mercy as I examined the work she put into maintaining this for me.

"M-, Rick, my father and the Mu greet some people differently from others. The only way to truly get my clan's respect is through martial prowess, and he may wish to see your skill, sorry."

Her eyes have a bit of shame, while her cheeks blush a bit, so it is the father testing the lover of his daughter trope. I can dig it.

"No problem, I understand, let us go Mercy, I will drive today, you are under my care."

Before she could resist, I took her hand and pulled her to my old BMW, I need to buy a new car, for real.

-

Mercy and I had stopped at the local Star Dollars and got coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Then we ate in the car while I just observed her quiet personality with some freshness, due to her not being in her professional mode.

"Do I have something on my face, Rick?"

"No, just admiring your beauty, the stoic demeanor of a warrior, and how I want to see you mature going forward. I also thought about the day of my fight in high-school."

"Thank you, and why about that day?"

"I had strained my body a bit in that fight, and was in a lot of pain. But, seeing you there watching me in your driver's suit made me suck up my pain, to look manly. So, I think I was showing off to you back then. It is funny how events look different when in retrospect."

     She smiled and said.

"I admit, you almost made me laugh back then, when you double sprayed that guy at the end. It was ruthless and overkill, but I liked it."

As we finished the food, I leaned in and kissed Mercy to her surprise, then when I released her lips, I said.

"I was removing the croissant-crumbs from your lips, ha-ha."

As she blushed in embarrassment, I drove off to meet her father, and mother.

-

Naturally, I am driving southbound to the nobles cemetery. That is where the tombstone of Mercy's mother is kept.

As I pulled into the parking area of the cemetery, I saw the limo Mercy pointed-out and parked near it.

The two of us get out of the car, we see a woman in a long-maid-outfit, open the back of the limo, a man wearing a formal black-Kung-Fu uniform for special occasions is seen.

Tom Mu, a 42 year old, blonde, with blue-eyes. He is Mercy's father and head of the Mu Clan. He is a swordsman, and carries his family blade, a Chinese Broadsword, everywhere he goes. His demeanor screams 'ancient warrior.'

I carry the Mountain Sword in my left hand as the two of us stand to greet him. The maid with black-hair seems to be a Personal Maid with fighter training. She is at an advanced level. Mercy's father is a Kung-Fu Master.

"Greetings father. I brought my Master, Rick Lee-Tang. And I am and have been accepted as his Personal Maid."

"Mr Tang, I am Tom Mu, it is a pleasure to meet the young man my daughter concedes to. Though, I have reservations about you being a Tang. I do know your blood hails from Central Lee, but only as a disgraced bastard, no disrespect meant in my words, only confirming your background."

"No offense taken, your clan relies on its honor, so I can tell its formality, so what are your intentions, Head Mu?"

"I will test you, to see if our Mu family will accept you as a Master worth backing. If I find your skill lacking, Mercy will be removed from the family registry as a failed warrior, If you pass, I will openly acknowledge her choosing you as her Master and would welcome her children. It is our family honor, not familial bonds. No matter the outcome, I will love my daughter, do you understand?"

I nodded my head and looked around, then asked.

"The parking-lot and the cemetery where the people are won't be good, so where did you want to go?"

He uses the handle of his sheathed sword and points off to a hillside area just outside of the gates in a natural setting, where no one can interfere. Then with his maid in tow, walked in that direction, so we followed.

-

After a few hundred feet of walking we reached a snow-covered rocky field.

Mercy took my hands and held them, blowing her warm breath onto my slightly cold hands. While she affectionately warmed my hands, her blue-eyes conveyed she wanted me to win for her.

While Mercy's father was readying by taking off his coat he watched our interactions with a slight smile. Then like magic, the snow began to fall, making the whole area look mystical. Well at least we are not doing shooting or this would be a pain.

I handed Mercy my guns, weights, but left my long-coat on, for slash-resistance, if I am unlucky. I also handed her my medical kit. With a Master as my opponent, the slightest thing holding me back could spell defeat. Besides, he said test my skill, not that I need to beat him.

The two of us walked into the clearing and then faced each-other.

I then held up the Mountain Blade I got from Laura, the Chinese Broadsword. The kind you see in most Kung-Fu movies.

Slowly, I removed the sheath holding it by my left hand, with sword in my right. Yes this sheath is made as a sort of shield that can block sword strikes, or even be used as a blunt sword. My skill even lets me duel-wield them if I so desire, but I will use it to block.

"Is that Mountain Blade from the fallen Mountain Temple?!"

"Yes, I took it off of Laura after I defeated her, well I only held her off while she drugged me, then with enough time, my sniper bullet found her leg, so It was only half earned, I guess."

He then drew his blade as well, but unlike me he threw his scabbard to the side. He must not have a combat scabbard, or more likely, does not practice the duel-style.

He also noticed my still holding my scabbard and realized I intended to use it, intriguing him a bit. Tom then pointed his sword at me and said.

"For over 30000 years, this is our Mu way, show me why we should back a Tang."

My body does not take a stance like he is doing, but giving him my full concentration, my face goes vacant, My feelings are gone, and only the fight is here.

I can almost see every snowflake around us drift away from our body heat, and I can almost tell where his eyes are looking. I have to take the snowy ground into account for our movement, the way the cold affects our body's and our blade's.

I hold out the empty scabbard horizontally, while my left-foot half steps forward, and my Mountain Blade is held high to be dropped on him at a moment's notice, as a warning for him to not rush.

I exhale the steam, and say to him, who has been watching my every movement.

     "Come!"

His eyebrow raised and he asked.

"Is that the Mountain Splitting Stance?!"

"Only if you are a Mountain?!"

His distracting question did not fool me, I saw the snowflakes tremble and his facial muscles twitch, readying for his thrust. I flicked my left-wrist to face the open end of my scabbard, and his thrusting broadsword.

Shiiiiiiing! Clink! His eyes opened comically as his thrust was swallowed by my scabbard and fully sheathed his sword into the sheath, I then used my thumb to hold the hilt of his sword firmly in my left-hand sheath, then said.

"It is not, Mountain Splitting Stance, but a Vanishing Blade Stance. The trick is over, now let's fight!"

Sure he and I both know I could have swung down my blade on him in a real fight, but he wants to see my skill, so I will show him that!

I leap backward in the snow, releasing his sword from the sheath, which I then throw near his, and adopt a forward blade stance, pointing the tip of my Chinese Broadsword at him.

He then thrust the tip of his blade at me as we moved and used thrusts, and parry. looking for a single true strike.

Ting-Ting Ting-Ting Ting-Ting Ting-Ting! Many swings, thrusts, mixed with overhead and horizontal strikes were traded, eliciting sparks from our two swords in an aggressive play.

I have already memorized the terrain around us, and have implemented my Acrobatics Master, to deceive and throw off his normal movement tactics of cornering an opponent.

After about 5 minutes of our striding and springing, I found the opening I was looking for!

I did a forward flip, bringing my heel down onto his sword hilt, and as his weapon dropped and my stance was secure, the tip of the Mountain Blade was one inch from his left-eye without any doubt it could have entered his head! The two of us stood still as he assessed the fight in his head, then a smile graced his lips.

I retracted my blade as he picked up his. Tom Mu pointed to my hands and told me.

"You will need to use a sword in practice more, to build up some callouses. I can tell, this is your first real sword fight. I am very happy to have met you. My Mercy has become a blessed woman, bringing honor back to our Mu Clan."

Tom, seeing my complicated expression, whispers.

"My family knows more than even the Lee Clan. Who do you think instructed the four guardian families of you in the past? Our records are complete. Only you know this secret now. So the Mu clan will fully serve once again, in secret."

The two women cannot hear us, but are confused why the Head of the Mu is giving me a bow. I still have not said a word, but this guy also knows the Yellow Emperor, but the Mu were the First and subsequent Imperial Guard in the long past. I said to him.

"I will take your advice and do some sword swing practice with Mercy. Just letting Mercy be with me is more than enough, so please don't bow."

He understands not to expose me, and the look of a kid finding out a mythical beast really exists in his eyes is there. He had probably grown up reading about the Yellow Emperor all during his Headship, and unable to spread the word, he can finally confirm it was all real.

"Don't worry, your secret is only with me, not even Mercy knows. Did you know about the Mu when you accepted my daughter?"

The two of us go to retrieve our scabbards, and I tell him.

"Only the night I decided. But Mercy was saved by my father at the bank, so we already had a thread of fate between us."

"I had almost forgotten about that! Sorry and thank you for that. I guess, the Heavens smiled upon our Mu family with your return. Well, I will treat you as family to the rest of the world, fully accepting Mercy as your concubine, and our Mu's blessing as well. This time, you are not only a Dragon, but a Tiger, how interesting."

With our sword sheathed we walked to the two women waiting for us. Tom then handed me his sword and told me.

"This sword is a symbol of our Mu family, and please give it to your first child with Mercy, and they will be the next Head. I will man the helm into my later years holding the position for your child."

Both women heard the last part of what Tom said, and both women look stupefied at him declaring Mercy's unborn child the next head.

I then pass the family blade into Mercy's hands, and she looks at her father like she never knew him in her life. He shrugged and admitted.

"The moment he captured my sword, I was dead, the rest was for fun, he is a man worthy of birthing the next head to my worthy daughter."

Mercy whispered in my ear. If this story is on any-other site than Scribble Hub, then it was stolen without permission!

"Did you brainwash my father? He is never this warm with anyone, especially men trying to court me?"

"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!"

(A/N It is a phrase meaning. Do not unappreciatively question a gift or handout too closely.)

She understood and looked happy, then she was surprised at her fathers next words.

"Come Rick, let us greet Mercy's mother and tell her the good news. She will be happy to know her daughter is in good hands. Mercy, hurry or we will burn incense without you."

With her family sword in her left-arm, she holds my left, while I hold my sword in my right. We follow Tom Mu and his Personal Maid into the Mu cemetery to give our well wishes.

Mercy cried, smiled, and gave thanks.

For me, I am glad I did not reject this amazing woman of Martial Pride.
