This chimera, it's a mess. It's not like the usual classic description of a chimera. For starters, it has three heads, just like a Cerberus. A lion head, a talon head, and a dog head in the middle. It also has a big wing, but I think that wing is rather dysfunctional, because it doesn't look natural at all. The tail is made from the head of a snake and the limbs of an elephant. Most importantly, there are traces of humans, beastmen, elves, dwarves, and even pets like cats and dogs all over the body. What is this abomination? Could it be that this is the voice I heard? That's most likely, as THE THING is lingering around it, making it possible for this unsightly chimera to be alive in the first place.
"A chimera?"
"And now a treant!"
Some of the teachers also joined the battle. They wanted to target the Hanging Treant.
"Don't hurt Mr. Hanging Treant!" [Diana]
I don't want them to target this good Hanging Treant, so I quickly leave Kat's side and fly towards it, placing myself in one of the many branches of this Hanging Treant. It has the face of an old elven gentleman, probably the soul the bee mentioned. Unfortunately, it can't communicate with others. I can only communicate with it through my blessing.
"Diana! It's dangerous!"
"Go quickly!"
"We can handle this!"
"No! You will hurt this kind hanging tree!" [Diana]
"Hanging Treant?"
"Just trust her! There's a reason even Her Highness Queen Amleth trusted her!" [Randy]
"Diana, if this Hanging Treant is really on our side, then don't leave his side at all! It's for your own safety." [Kat]
Randy, Linda and Kat are on my side. Most of the knights, teachers and even some of the adventurers aren't exactly happy, but they won't complain when the Chimera starts to rampage. Its footsteps alone cause a tremor. It's even bigger than this unusually large hanging treant. As big as a Tyrannosaurus Rex, I suppose? Maybe, I have never seen one, but it is definitely big.
"Giant hole!" [Diana]
I created a huge hole right underneath it to trap the Chimera. Unfortunately, it's agile enough to avoid it. One of the human faces in its body chanted something, and as a result, a fireball came out of nowhere. It's small, so it doesn't really do much, but
"Now it's the limb of a dwarf!" [Kat]
"Shield yourself! An earth spell is coming!"
A barrage of spells, independent of the three heads, greets us all. A multitude of spells, varying in power and size, all targeting those of us who are currently shielded by either a magical or physical shield. To make matters worse, the three heads are laughing at our futile attempt as it simply sweeps its snake tail, causing a strong whiplash. It also sprays some poisonous substances, but
"Gust! Gust! Gust! Gust! Gust!" [Diana]
"Space Cube" [Linda]
I try to blow the poison back at the Chimera, but unfortunately it doesn't reach the chimera. As for Linda, she uses her space magic and traps any poison I didn't blow away inside a cube and releases it elsewhere.
This Chimera is a very powerful one. I'm sure the reason it's showing itself now is because it wanted to eat us all. I'm just glad it didn't show up in the middle of the night, or else we'd all be screwed.
Some of the knights and adventurers, covered by their friend, started to fire an arrow from afar. There's a wind spell coming from the talon head that prevents the arrow from reaching him, but
"They are first-class knight and adventure! A simple wind spell wouldn't stop their arrow!" [Kat].
Kat, whose agility is like that of thunder, managed to clutch through the barrage of continuous spells, even dodging a stray arrow that was meant to take down the Chimera, and began slicing at the Chimera's limbs with her dagger, just that
"Hard! Doesn't matter!" [Kat]
The limbs are as hard as diamonds, that's the impression I got. Instead of limbs, Kat began to cut through the many faces of humans and others. They scream back in pain, and the scream, something ominous about it. I can't describe it, but there's a spell mixed in with the scream.
"Fall back!"
"Hurry or your mental state will be disturbed!"
"Teleport!" [Linda]
A scroll-like thing from Kat's waist glowed and dissipated, a teleportation circle was used along with it, and Kat is now safely back with us. She couldn't thank Linda enough for saving her.
"Should I just go berserk?" [Randy]
"Not yet. If what Diana said is true, you better save it for when the second Chimera arrives" [Linda].
"So where is the second Chimera?" [Kat]
"I'm going to ask that hanging treant right now!" [Diana]
(The second Chimera went in the opposite direction, so it shouldn't be a problem for you.) [Hanging Treant]
