This is a precious opportunity for me to relax. But I cannot be too relaxed as, for all I know, something out of bounds might happen when the others are busying themselves with their own project.

Yoenha is hard at work on babysitting Evandel and working on a countermeasure that will perfectly work on a Devil’s Seed’s host. She has asked for some information about the capabilities of [Under Cube], which I have no plans of giving her permission to tamper with. The Devil’s Seed once awakened can also use the memories of its host to its benefit. The kind of countermeasure we want from Yoenha is something so foolproof even with the Devil’s Seed knowing how it is made, it will not be able to escape out of the containment.

Nayun is similarly swamped with teaching Jonghak as in terms of intensity, they almost do not rest. The two of them are hardy individuals so it will be fine. However, in the past few days, the two have been focusing more on fixing a few technicalities, helping Jonghak in favor of contacting his clan so as not to make them worry. So far so good, as Jonghak is mostly cooperative.

Meanwhile, Suho and Rachel are working in tandem to clear some Dungeons. Rumors that the two are going out are spreading within Cube and the internet. Man, I am jealous… I am honestly simping for Rachel, but as a responsible adult, I should know my boundaries. Yuck… I am feeling disgusted by myself.

It is undeniable that I am just a healthy young man in the end. Hajin is the same, but he has this barrier to him that mentally, he keeps on telling himself that he is an adult. To be frank, I have this suspicion that the reason he ends up with Yi Byul from the novel is that Hajin believes that his age is just right for Yi Byul’s range.

Weird thoughts aside, Korea from what I remember is a pretty conservative and traditional country. Not as extreme as China or Japan though, but Korea is pretty much within the bounds of a stereotypical Asian country. So Age Gap being a problem is considerably relevant if I think about it.

I remain seated, while I view the large-ass LCD screen, data flitting past them. I am trying to see if I can find Chameleon Troupe’s traces in the hope of directly confronting them if we fail in our plans for the coming festival. The need for a plan B is not because I am expecting failure. It is best that we are prepared.

Alas, finding Chameleon Troupe’s traces is difficult even with the help of Hajin’s [Book of Truth]. The amount of SP that is required to reveal the Chameleon Troupe’s base of operations is jaw-dropping. It must be because the narrative power of Chameleon Troupe is just as immense to the story as a crucial plot element.

I can only resort to using Cube AI’s System. Even with this, I have little hope of finding the Chameleon Troupe. It is not that Cube AI is inferior to Chameleon Troupe. Admittedly, they have a competent tech guy with an amazing Gift. But on top of this, they also have Jain’s, the Seat of Yellow’s Gift that can create fake identities perfectly.

If I have Kim Hosup’s help though, I reckon my chances of finding the Chameleon Troupe will be easier. However, I feel bad about involving Hosup. His combat abilities aside, I believe that he will be much happier on remaining ignorant of my and Hajin’s nature of work.

Still, if it comes to it, then we can only bite the bullet and have Hosup join.

“Hyon, come here… I will need your help…”

I hear Hajin’s voice from the intercom buzzing from the radio just arm’s length on my high-tech control panel just adjacent to the LCD screen. “On my way,” I reply.

I head to Hajin’s current lab, where he is working on his gear for the coming heist. I see a lot of stuff, and I cannot even begin to think what their functions might be. “How may I help you? I am not imposing or anything, but are you really going to do it solo?”

“I will be fine.” Hajin arranges his clothing gear, all of them with the same theme— black. “I am going to use my past identity’s costume idea. Aside from being awesome, it will also serve as some kind of impetus to anyone who knows about the future past.”

“What do you mean?” I get the part of serving as some kind of impetus, but how will Hajin do that?

“Help me think of something flashy.” Hajin grins playfully, thinking that I might enjoy causing some trouble. And he is right, I love to contribute.

The two of us bounce off ideas, thinking of a way to spread out the name ‘Greed’ of ‘Sinful’, and while his getup might be the same as Hajin’s Black Lotus from the future past, he will have an entirely different persona this time.

“How about we leave a calling card?” Yes, that can work. I think we can also send a letter to the victim prior to the theft, but that might end up shooting us in the foot. It is still not guaranteed that we can move a Tower by ourselves. “We don’t really have a symbol to use… How about a hand with seven fingers?”

“That’s creepy. When I think of seven, I think of colors, but Chameleon Troupe already has the color scheme of every color imaginable…” Hajin starts thinking about a symbol too with difficulty. “Using the Seven Deadly Sins as our framework might be a more problematic chore than I imagine.”

“How about let’s just do monster folktale?” I suggest. “You know, Oriental Monsters that are yet to appear in this world. The Western goblin with its green skin is a very familiar sight. What is the word again? Ah~ Dokaebi? Is it? I still don’t know about the others, but using monsters as our signatures don’t sound bad.”

“That will do. I am actually thinking of using Fenrir prior to Nayun’s pre-regression, but I want to differ this time… I am not the Black Lotus of Chameleon Troupe or the Fenrir of Jeronimo Mercenary Group.” Hajin sentimentally reasons.

“I agree. I will be honest if you go with Fenrir, I will feel awkward. Yoo Sihyuk is the Wolf of Valahalla, man… That’s an insult to my knowledge of the mythos…” Yep, that is somewhat of a thorn to me, but I am happy to know that Hajin won’t go Fenrir-style. “If you want the animal theme, you can still go with a fox mask. Nothing will go wrong with a fox.”

“I think Goblin of Greed will suffice.” Hajin proceeds with the 3D printer.

After printing a tough, stylish, and sleek goblin mask, Hajin has me imbue my [Always here] on the mask. Hajin then uses his [Setting Intervention] to make the effects more permanent and perfect. It has the effect of messing up the others' recognition of the wearer.

Meanwhile, I have Cube send me a laptop to do some graphic designing of Hajin’s calling card that he will leave behind once the Tower is stolen. It is insane how much work is being put into the trivial stuff, but the completion of this will also pay a great yield on increasing the Sinful’s repute fast.

“Hey, Hajin, do you have a Tower in mind already?” I make casual talk with him while having my AI System re-catalog the technology Hajin will be using in the background.

Hajin continues to busy himself with his gear, while I do my graphic designing. “I don’t want to attack either of the Creator’s Sacred Grace or the Essence of the Strait, so that leaves with two Government-Owned Towers to choose from.”

“You can choose Essence of the Strait. Yoneha said she would cooperate so that we can minimize the risks as much as possible.” If possible, I don’t want to put Hajin in to danger too.

“No,” Hajin refuses Yoenha’s offer. “Let’s rather not involve Essence of the Strait. It is like weakening our own ally. I am thinking of targeting the low-level tower on the borders of South and North Korea. There are many monsters there, and few heroes. From what I gather, few Heroes even go there, only a few hunters who want to try their luck.”

Monsters are not much of a threat as Heroes, but they are dangerous nonetheless, especially in an area lacking any Hero presence. The Hero Association does place bounties on the marginal areas to occasionally reduce the monster population, but they are seasonal.

Judging by the Association’s timeline, this month is when the monster population is the thickest according to data my AI System has hacked the Hero Association’s Tower.

I suggest the alternative to Hajin. “You can just try aiming for the tower that the Hero Association owns. It is owned by the government but is essentially being owned by the Association as it is they who manage it from all angles. Because of the mass Djinn hunt, you can expect Heroes there to be lesser than usual.”

I peruse my laptop, scrolling on the information about the Hero Association’s tower. “Oooh~ jackpot! You know that the Hero Association’s Tower is based on a real magical Tower, right? You see, the Little Blue Tower that we are talking about is the tower the Hero Association’s Tower is based on.”

That earns a reaction from Hajin as he whistles in surprise. “Okay, it is decided.”
