Kim Hajin fits his dark goblin mask with layers of gold on his face. The small slit in the eyes allows him to see just perfectly. Despite the mask covering his face entirely, his peripheral vision is not hindered.

Hajin inwardly applauds at the miracle of technology. He rides on the motorbike that [Under Cube] provides him. He has made a few attachments, and upgrades to the motorbike. He can barely feel the turbulence of the wind as he rides past the slow-moving vehicles.

The Goblin of Greed. That is now his identity.

Yesterday, Hajin received a few lessons from Hyon on how to be eye-catching.

He will not be biting something he cannot chew, because that will be just idiocy. What he is currently doing is within his abilities, thus he proceeds confidently to the showy display of his motorbike skills.

Reaching the speed unimaginable to the most high-tech motorbike, Hajin exceeds the speed limit. The sound of the police cars’ sirens chase after him, but he easily leaves them to the dust. Ahead of Hajin are the traffic lights going red in mere seconds, but Hajin doesn’t care.

He has come with the Goblin Mask on with the purpose of committing a crime. He is simply starting small. He breezes the passing cars with alacrity and flexibility. He is inhumanely fast. He has used his [Setting Intervention] on the motorbike’s every component, crucial or auxiliary.

This motorbike is out of this world, like its rider.

Suddenly, a Hero comes tackling him from the sides. The Hero is not as fast, but his interception is well-timed. Hajin uses his extraordinary perception to dodge the assailant. While at it, Hajin uses his motorbike’s invisibility function.

To the intercepting Hero, he sees Hajin turning into a blur, and abruptly appearing on another area. Kim Hajin is monstrously fast that after deactivating his invisibility, it looks as if he has teleported.

To do this more peacefully, Hajin can choose to simply ride to his target destination while under invisibility, however, he has come with the purpose of showing off. And that is what he will exactly do.

Hajin’s clothing is fairly simple, and the more distinguished wear he has is his Goblin Mask with gold layers. The Goblin Mask’s nose is especially prominent, and so are the smirking lips as if expressing disdain to whoever sees it.

In the Hero Association’s Tower, the very headquarters where they are keeping watch of all of Korea, everyone is in a panic as they observe the prolific driving goblin.

From the CCTV, the Temporary Leading Crime Operative, Gang Gil is gritting his teeth at the disdainful smirking Goblin Mask on the giant LCD screen.

Gang Gil’s rise to his station is the fastest it has ever been. His talents do have a part in his promotion, but it is mostly because of the fact that there has been a great loss of manpower since the mass Djinn hunting taking place globally at the precedent of the creation of Djinn Detection Technology.

Gang Gil is simply filling up for someone else’s work. Gang Gil tries his best to work and meet his superior’s expectations despite being just a fill-in, but one day, he hopes to remove the ‘Temporary’ on his title.

“What are his bearings!?” He asks his tech guys.

The resources available to him are few, but he has to work with the hand he is dealt with. If he manages to do well, then he might have a chance to shed the ‘Temporary’ to his title. He has a wishful thinking that this Goblin from the LCD screen does a more heinous crime so that when he catches him, he will gain more credit than he should have.

Catching a driver whose only crime is breaking through the speed limit isn’t anything to be proud of, really… But it won’t hurt to be careful.

“Sir, judging by his trajectory, he should be heading to the Hero Association’s Tower!”

“What?” Gang Gil is baffled. This might be a bigger problem than he initially thought. But on second thoughts, why? Surely, there is a more productive way to attack the Hero Association.

Gang Gil is in disbelief, but he tries thinking more reasonably. “Is there a reason why our Goblin seeking attention so blatantly?”

The Goblin riding on his motorbike wears an all-black outfit that will work perfectly for infiltration missions, especially at night. The Goblin’s ensemble is a black hood, black coat, and a black inner garment. His motorbike is similarly black. But… It is the height of noon now!

If the Goblin's aim is to ruin Gang Gil’s lunch today, then he already has succeeded. Gang Gil resists his stomach’s grumbling demanding its lunch. “He might be a decoy! Heighten the security measure around the Tower!”

“Yes sir!” His aide gives him a quick affirmative.

When Gang Gil’s face is away from the LCD screen as he dials on his phone the contact information of his direct superior, the Association’s Vice President, something unexpected occurs.

“Sir!” Several of the tech guys shout, surprising Gang Gil and his aide. One of them explains hurriedly. “We lost the Goblin!”

When Gang Gil looks back at the LCD screen where they are monitoring the Goblin, Gang feels irritated by the development. “How!? Aren’t all of our local resources their watching him all this time?”

“Sir, I found him!” A Tech personnel sends the video feed of a drone to the main monitor screen where everyone can witness how ridiculous the Goblin is. “It… It is the Goblin, sir! He is going in a straight line!”

Ignoring the roads, the Goblin rides forward with his motorbike perpendicular to the glass walls of a high-rise building. The drones can hardly keep up with him.

“Sir! He is heading for the Little Blue Tower!” Gang Gil’s aide shouts with her eyes trembling as she peruses her own tablet.

The Goblin appears in all of his glory on the other side of two more buildings, to the area where the Association keeps the Little Blue Tower hidden.

Gang Gil’s jaws drop in surprise as the Goblin breezes past through all manner of security.

Hajin revs up his motorbike, as he pushes through the Tower’s entrance. The Tower is a collection of Dungeons, however, unlike Dungeons, Towers have rules that disallow bringing natural items of the outside world inside it. Of course, bringing Dungeon-based products inside is still possible.

If Hajin’s motorbike is a normal human item, then he won’t be able to bring it inside. The Dungeon Technology has met continuous and several evolutions since Outcall. Now, humans can create their own Dungeon-based products. Hajin’s motorbike has a similar concept as every component of the motorbike comes from Dungeon resources.

The only exception to Towers when it comes to rules is the Tower of Wish.

Thus, Hajin bringing his motorbike inside the Tower is possible.

Inside the tower, Hajin breezes past the monsters with ease. He outruns them with his vehicle, and if it is not possible to do that, then he will simply kill them off with a single gunshot. The Little Blue Tower cannot be monitored from the outside so Hajin is safe from prying eyes.

While at it, he also takes extra care for others not see him using a gun. The Association uses the Little Blue Tower to train their employees for team building exercises and the like, meaning Hajin is not alone inside.

Towers are a very scandalous area of ownership. Every Guild wishes to down a Tower by themselves one day as that is what defines a Hero’s feats. Moreover, Towers are destructive. The Hero Association’s ownership of the Little Blue Tower is actually illegal.

But being the greatest hypocrite in the world, it is not below for the Association to monopolize and hide the Little Blue Tower for themselves.

Hajin recalls the specific information about the Little Blue Tower. It is the 17th Tower to appear in Korea and the 129th around the world. It is a fairly weak tower, and by the Heroes’ standard today, it is quite easy to conquer this tower already.

The cover-up story will be like this— a vigilante on the loose conquered the Little Blue Tower, and punishes the Hero Association for their greed. Hyon Hyung has prepared the necessary materials already on the basis of success.

The cover-up story sounds very convincing even to Hajin as even he cannot imagine anyone guessing what the real story will be like. After all, who in the right mind can imagine that a Tower can be stolen?

***

Gang Gil is in disbelief and utter despair as a short two hours after, the Little Blue Tower vanishes into magic power to the atmosphere. The employees enjoying their time inside to build themselves are forcefully ejected outside.

Gang Gil witnesses all of this happen as he waits outside the Little Blue Tower in anticipation of the Goblin leaving. But they did not even see the Goblin leave at all. In the center of where the tower stands is a bust of a middle finger as if saying ‘fuck you’ to everyone who sees it.

Just beside the bust is a calling card on top of an envelope which Gang Gil assumes to be a letter. The envelope reads “To the Hero Association,” and “From Sinful.”

Meanwhile, the calling card reads “Goblin of Greed,” and…

“Serving your best interest, what you want, I want it too. What you own, I already own. Giving the best safekeeping services of all of humanity— Greed.”
