The glasses-wearing student and the celer were standing across each other ready to start the duel at any time.

“Are you not going to take back your words?” The glasses-wearing student asked.

The celer looked at him indifferently and shook his head.

“Why should I? Everything I said is true. Humans are a weak and foolish race unable to recognize their place. Compared to us, celers, you are clearly inferior.”

The celer’s words sounded flat and mechanic due to the device he used to translate his words. Nevertheless, they caused a commotion among the students that came to observe the duel.

“How arrogant!”

“Who does he think he is!?

“Gerald, crush him!”

“Celers sure are arrogant.” Even Andrew, Ley, and the others seemed enraged. “I don’t know why the higher-ups allowed them here.”

The celer looked at the students around with a deadpan expression before looking away, as though losing interest.

That action made the students even more enraged.

“Dammit! Who does he think he is!?”

“That shit-faced alien. Gerald, kill that son of bitch!”

“If they are so powerful, why did they come to our school in the first place!?”

“We did not come here to learn.” The celer looked at the students condescendingly. “We came here to show you humans that you are inferior.”

“Stop.” The glasses-wearing student, Gerald, finally could not endure anymore. “I will make you take back your words after I defeat you.”

“You won’t. You are not capable enough.”

Gerald’s eyes burned with rage.

The celer seemed to find that amusing and gestured him to attack.

“If you are not convinced, try it.”

Gerald snorted, immediately releasing an enormous amount of mana from his body.

Astonishingly, he had reached the late stage of the sixth tier. Moreover, his mana was so dense that it was incomparable to a normal sixth-tier Awakened.

“Die.” He stated, thrusting the rapier on his hand toward the celer.

The blow was so fast that I barely managed to see it. It arrived in front of the celer in just an instant.

But surprisingly–

*Clang!*

The rapier clashed against a transparent barrier that appeared suddenly in front of the celer, stopping it completely.

Gerald’s expression changed. He pulled his rapier back and performed several consecutive thrusts in an instant, filling the celer’s field of vision with afterimages of the rapier piercing toward him.

Unfortunately–

*Clang, clang, clang, clang, clang!*

Everything that happened was that the same sound repeated once and again.

Gerald attacked ten times, twenty times, thirty times, but his rapier never managed to pierce that invisible barrier.

The students, that at the start had been cheering excitedly, gradually became silent with bewildered and solemn expressions.

The most terrifying part was that from start to end, there was no mana fluctuation coming from the celer.

He was not taking Gerald's attacks seriously.

“ESP, and at a very high level,” Sylvia muttered with a voice that only I could hear. “That is not something that he can face.”

Just as Sylvia’s words came to an end, Gerald's attacks stopped.

He stood across the celer, panting heavily with a pale and despairing face.

Just now, he had given his all. Although he had reserved some of his strength during the initial attacks, toward the end, he had put everything into each rapier thrust.

He had even overloaded his mana circuits just to break that barrier and land a hit on the celer.

But until the end, the barrier remained unshakeable.

It did not even tremble despite Gerald’s unceasing attacks.

“Do you understand now?” The celer asked indifferently. “Humans are weak. You are weak.”

He then used the back of his hand to slap the air in Gerald’s direction. Immediately, a powerful force surged beside Gerald and struck him, throwing him several meters away.

“Now, as the loser, why don’t you kneel and admit that humans are an inferior race.”

Gerald coughed a mouthful of blood and gritted his teeth in anger.

“Bastard!” A student in the audience growled and rushed toward the stage, only to be stopped by one of his friends.

“What? Do you want to fight me too?” The celer asked in a bored tone. “But I’m sorry, you are not worthy.

“However, I admit that I’m dissatisfied with this battle. Why don’t I choose someone to fight me instead of this trash?” He said and looked around at the audience.

Soon, his eyes fell on our location.

The celer immediately fixed his gaze on Sylvia.

‘As I thought. Their goal is her!’ I thought to myself while observing the situation.

But when the celer was about to call out to Sylvia, a voice came from the sky.

“Stop! What is happening here!?”

Then, it was followed by pressure so powerful that I found it hard to breathe.

The voice belonged to a cold-looking woman with tanned skin, black hair, and black eyes. She was hovering in the sky as his eyes burned in anger.

“It’s teacher Garcia,” Lara muttered softly.

“I thought I warned you about starting a commotion on the campus.” The woman stared at the celers with a chilling gaze. “If you don’t plan to follow our rules, then you are not accepted here.”

“… I apologize.” The celer apologized immediately, although his tone was clearly insincere. “It won’t happen again.”

“I hope so. Now, come with me. The headmistress wants to meet you.”

The five celers nodded obediently.

“As for you.” The teacher said, now looking at the students that came to observe the battle. “There is nothing to watch here. Get lost.”

The students immediately dispersed like rats seeing a cat.

We also left while talking between us about the battle we just witnessed.

However, I could swear I could feel the celers’ gaze on us until we left the arena.
