And right after that, Zhong Yu heard insulting chuckles from Liwei.
Before he knew it, he had put up a fist. Zhong Yu pulled his hand and swayed backwards, raising his arm as his hips swing straight and his fist rocketed forward, connecting with the cheek of the man in front of him
He swung it hard to Liwei's face; sending his best friend to hit a bamboo table, and landed on the ground.
The sudden hit literally threw Liwei off the ground. As he tried to get up, he felt a sting on his face. Liwei raised one hand to touch his face, and tasted blood in the corner of his lips.

"You motherf****! What the f*** did you do? You tore my face??"
When Zhong Yu had punched him just now, Liwei was caught off guard, and he accidentally bit his own lips during the hit.
Zhong Yu was holding onto his own fist which was aching after he punched Liwei. He was still clenching his hand and rolled his wrist around to relieve the pain.
"You insulted her. I have warned you not to do that."
Liwei, still sitting on his bottom on the ground, slowly got up. All the guests around were still staring at the two of them while whispering to each other.
After he got up on his feet, Liwei did not even bother to dust himself off. He swiftly approached Zhong Yu and snarled at him while saying, "You hit your best friend?? All for the sake of a woman that does not even know you exist?"
Before Zhong Yu had the chance to retort back, another voice was heard behind the two men.
"I know he exists. And I think he's a better human being than you are."
The two men turned their head around and saw Shao Yan was standing at the side; glaring at the two of them.

- A few minutes earlier -
After selecting some cakes, Shao Yan went back to Mandy's side.
She handed over one plate to Mandy and said, "There's an empty table here, shall we sit down?" Mandy looked around, and noticed the table that Yan Yan was pointing at, she nodded her head, "Sure, the weather is nice today, let's sit there."
Shao Yan and Mandy chose a small table near a tall tree to sit down. A part of their table was shaded by the shadow of the tree, so the sun was not shining too hot on them.
Shao Yan placed another plate on the table, "Sis, you sit here first, I'll go get the orange juices now."
Shao Yan was about to walk away, when a hand was placed on her shoulder, stopping her on her track. She turned around only to see Li Xiqing and Axel standing next to her.
"I'll go with you," Li Xiqing said, "Axel will accompany Mandy anyway."
Shao Yan smiled at him, and nodded his approval.
"What brought you two out here? I thought you guys are talking with Karl as well?"
Li Xiqing placed his hand on her waist as they walked together, "Risa and Grandma have just arrived, so Karl is accompanying them right now. I was worried about you, so Axel and I decided to check on the two of you."
Shao Yan giggled at his reply, "We are not kids, why worry about us?"
Li Xiqing looked at her stunning smiling face. He raised his index finger to touch the tip of her nose, "You are my woman, of course I will always worry about you."
Shao Yan smiled bashfully at his sudden touch. She was about to say more, when she saw a change in Li Xiqing's eyes.
She turned her head to the front and saw Liwei and Zhong Yu talking to each other. They were standing only a few steps away, but the greenery around her shaded her and Li Xiqing from the two of them.
Shao Yan heard Zhong Yu say, "You said you knew all along about my feelings towards Shao Yan?"
And both Li Xiqing and Shao Yan stopped on their track.

"So that means, you knew I wrote those letters for her? And yet, you still took them from me?"
Shao Yan heard Zhong Yu began to fire his questions at Liwei, and she blinked in disbelief upon what she heard afterwards.
"Yes, I have known all along. When we first saw her in the cafeteria, I knew you were looking in her direction, but at the time, I thought you were looking at Feifei since she is Lu Qian's sister after all."
"I had seen the letters that you had been writing on your desk. You always started them as 'To the beautiful you' so I knew that you were in love with someone."
Shao Yan gasped in surprise as she was remembering all the letters that she had received from Liwei before. All of them started with 'To the beautiful you'. Shao Yan could feel her hands started to tremble.
Li Xiqing noticed the change in her attitude, he squeezed his hand on her waist.

"But what else can I do? I fell in love with her, too, and she had agreed to be with me. I had to be the selfish one here. I started to read through all of your love letters again and the more I read them, the more I was convinced that the letters were indeed for Yan Yan."
Shao Yan heard Liwei was chuckling as he showed off what he had done to Zhong Yu. She shook her head in disbelief; feeling bewildered that she could not understand this man who used to be her husband.
"I was like an idiot, sitting at your desk, feeling all jealous from reading those letters. You wrote them so well, I even falsely thought the two of you had known each other for a while. Look at me. I have always been a number guy, the engineer in the room, I am not a romantic guy and you know that. Yan Yan had always been reserved with me, and I needed to improve our relationship, so yes, I stole those letters from you."
Shao Yan staggered a step, but Li Xiqing had his steady hand kept her in balance.
"I'm here. Don't worry," Shao Yan heard him say in his low, calming voice. But she knew that deep down inside he was angry, but he still tried to speak as calmly as possible to stay by her side.

Shao Yan gasped in surprise as she was remembering all the letters that she had received from Liwei before. All of them started with 'To the beautiful you'. Shao Yan could feel her hands started to tremble.
Li Xiqing noticed the change in her attitude, he squeezed his hand on her waist.

"But what else can I do? I fell in love with her, too, and she had agreed to be with me. I had to be the selfish one here. I started to read through all of your love letters again and the more I read them, the more I was convinced that the letters were indeed for Yan Yan."
Shao Yan heard Liwei was chuckling as he showed off what he had done to Zhong Yu. She shook her head in disbelief; feeling bewildered that she could not understand this man who used to be her husband.
