Chapter 230: Ice Cream With Cherry On Top

"Xiqing, did you say your parents are coming to visit next month?"
Li Xiqing put down the tea cup that he was holding in his hands.
"Yes, Grandma," and then he glanced at Mandy, "my sister has finalized their travel plans. They should be here just in time to spend Lunar Year with us."
Grandma Wu nodded with satisfaction, "En, that's good," and then she picked up her tea cup to take a sip, "arrange another meal session with them."
Li Xiqing nodded along with her words, "Of course, Grandma. It is also already planned."
The meal had just finished and everyone was just sitting around and chatting idly over cups of flower tea. Some petite sweet treats were served in front of them as desserts.
"... and so we can tell Patrick to suit up...."
Shao Yan who was talking to Risa about some work stuff, was distracted when Grandma started to talk about meeting the parents. She paused her words half way, and was about to add herself to the conversation; but she held herself back. She would just talk to Li Xiqing separately tonight about visiting her parents' graveyard.

After the lunch was done, Li Xiqing and Axel went into a heated battle about who would pay for the meal. After a good five minute argument, Axel won the battle gloriously; causing all the ladies in the room to laugh at their childish behavior.
"Too bad, Daniel," Axel said while signing his name on the receipt, "I will never let you steal my thunder in front of these pretty ladies," using the pen in his hands, Axel made a swiping move around the room to point at Grandma, Risa, Shao Yan and Mandy.
He winked at Li Xiqing before continuing, "Your diaper is still wet. Wait for ten more years, kiddo!"
He closed the receipt holder and capped the pen back, "Right, Grandma?" And then he smirked; exuding his charm at the elderly.
Grandma Wu burst out in laughter; using her index fingers, she pointed to him while shaking her head speechlessly, "You, ah you... I am already this old, I can not laugh too much."
Mandy and Risa laughed along Grandma Wu; while Shao Yan silently rubbed her hands on Li Xiqing's upper arm. She put on a pitiful face before saying, "Xiqing, it's okay, don't be sad."
And then when she received a glare from the man, she quickly pursed her lips to avoid the laughter to escape from her lips.

"Alright, be careful, Grandma," Shao Yan said shile leaning on the car window. She reached in and tidied up the shawl that had been draped over her shoulder.
"The weather is still cold, don't fall sick, Grandma."
Grandma Wu patted her hand, "Don't worry, child. You go back to Xiqing now, Shaoying and I will leave first."
Shao Yan nodded and stepped back from the car, she stood next to Li Xiqing and started to wave her hands, "See you, Grandma, Sis! Drive safe."
Risa waved her hand casually before starting the car and drove away.
Just as Shao Yan about to say something to Li Xiqing, Mandy had walked over to them. The four of them were standing in front of the restaurant now. It was only slightly after three in the afternoon. While the sun was shining brightly, the weather was also a little chilly. Feeling the direction of the wind, Axel and Li Xiqing stood against the current to protect the beloved women by their side.
"Yan Yan, shall we go eat ice cream?" Mandy said after she stood next to Shao Yan. She glanced back at her and her eyes started to twinkle with excitement.
"Sounds like a good idea!" Shao Yan quickly said. She turned to the side and linked her hand around Li Xiqing's arm, "What do you say?"
His head was looking at down at the little woman by his side. His gaze was showering her face with warm and tenderness as he slowly smiled at her and nodded, "Of course, let's go."
Mandy, who was standing while facing the main door was about to say something when the double glass door opened and a figure stepped out. She saw the person who had just walked out of the restaurant building and her face could not hide the surprise that started to sprout in her heart.
The woman was holding a pair of sunglasses in her hands, and was about to put them on when she noticed that Mandy was staring at her. She returned her stare.
Mandy was surprised to see her here. Her mouth was opened wide and her eyes were glued to the gorgeous woman who was clad in black and white striped dress.
The woman finally noticed there were four people in front of the restaurant. As she looked at the faces, she was equally stunned for a few seconds before collected herself and started to walk over to approach the group.

"Hello, Sis," she smiled at Mandy as she greeted her.
The sun was shining on her long wavy ash blonde hair. Soft fringe was covering her forehead that swayed a little when she looked around at the four people.
Her glossy, tinted lips gradually curved into a sweet smile and Shao Yan could see a small dimple appear at the corner of her mouth.
"Oh!" Mandy exclaimed, "It's really you! I was wondering why your face looks so familiar."
The petite woman smiled even wider at Mandy's remarks. With one hand, she elegantly swiped her hair to the side; revealing her beautiful ears with a pair of Swarovski crystal earrings in the shape of cherries.
She walked closer to Mandy and Axel and then raised both arms; squeezing Mandy into a tight hug.
"I have been missing you, Sis. How are you?" And then she glanced to the side and stared at Axel. She dragged her stare from his head down to his black, Italian leather shoes, before she turned back to Mandy.
Using her index finger, she also tilted her head slightly while asking Mandy, "Brother in law?"
Before Mandy could answer, Axel suddenly reached out one hand and offered to shake her hand, "Just call me Axel is fine. You don't have to call me Brother in Law."
Hearing what Axel just said, a hint of wisdom struck her mind and Mandy decided to keep quiet and only smiled politely. She stood still next to Axel and stole a glance at Li Xiqing and Yan Yan.
Shao Yan, with her hand still linked around Li Xiqing's arm, had a questioning look on her face, as she looked up to see Li Xiqing was also staring at the woman. As she was about to look away, however, Li Xiqing suddenly returned her glance and smiled back at Shao Yan.
Having shook Axel's hand, the woman finally turned her sight onto Shao Yan and Li Xiqing. Her eyes were focusing on their linked arms, before her eyes curved into another smile and turned her body slightly to face Li Xiqing face to face.
