This feels awkward… Narias thought to himself, waiting at the campus gates early in the morning.

He had agreed to go shopping together with Ileena, Flavia and Emilia. Narias hadn’t given any thought to it at first but when he woke up today in the morning a few concerning thoughts had entered his mind.

Going shopping wasn’t a big deal in its normal sense. After all, they needed to buy some supplies for the dungeon exploration which would start next week. But the talks around the table quickly turned into a shopping discussion about what kind of new outfits the girls would buy. Narias kept trying to go back to the list of the things they needed to get, however, the girls were more interested in the things they wanted to buy instead.

Ileena was the most reasonable out of the three. She helped Narias to write down what the group would need before going to the dungeon. Emilia was probably a little shy, so she tried to keep herself in check and not show how excited she was. Flavia on the other hand, was the loudest of them all. She kept going on about the shopping and all the fun they will have at El’Roonst tomorrow.

It sounded fun to listen to the girls at the time but right now Narias had something else to worry about. When he gave it a hard thought about it, the whole deal looked like he was going on a date with three girls at once.

We’re just going to do some shopping, that’s all. Narias tried to reason in his head. Yeah, right…

But he already knew that it won’t be that easy. Even before leaving the student campus diner yesterday, Ileena and Flavia told him they were looking forward to their date with him. His two girlfriends aside, Emilia said goodbye in her normal, polite manner, yet had that unexplainable pleased look in her eyes for some reason.

“Good morning, Narias,” while his mind was in the clouds trying to think of what to expect from today, Narias hadn’t noticed Ileena showing up.

“Good morning, Ileena. Oh, wow, you look… stunning,” Narias couldn’t leave out a compliment after seeing her.

Ileena was wearing a new outfit today. She had a light-yellow color top blouse. It had long frilly sleeves, reaching just below her elbows. A few sewed in white ribbon laces were adding a nice touch too. The blouse had frills at the front to give it an extremely attractive accent. The pattern of the frills resembled waves in the ocean, which also helped to draw the eyes to Ileena’s nicely developed bosom.

In addition to her blouse, Ileena wore a skirt this time, which was unusual for Narias to see. As unusual as it was however, the turquoise color skirt was a perfect match for the light-yellow color blouse. The skirt had tight frills at the very top of it around the waist, and then the rest of the skirt was neatly falling down Ileena’s legs. It was long enough to almost reach the girl’s ankles. Ileena also wore stylish shoes of a matching color, which just added that extra spark to her already stunning looks.

“Thank you, Narias,” she brushed her brown hair to the side, catching a mild flush on her face at the same time.

Wow. I can’t believe how beautiful she is. Narias was staring at Ileena without being able to blink.

“Hey, partner. What are you spacing out about?” his daze was interrupted by Flavia’s loud greeting.

“Huh? Oh, sorry. Good morning, Flavia,” he quickly pulled himself together, and turned to her to say hello.

“Yo, Ileena. Wow, you look absolutely amazing. Is that a new outfit? Where did you get it?” Flavia, who was wearing the same white and yellow two part outfit from before, gasped after seeing Ileena’s new look.

“Thank you, Flavia. I bought it at El’Roonst just the other day,” Ileena thanked her, with a bit of smug smile on her face, which she tried to hide.

“Your skirt’s and your shoe colors almost match. So cool,” the excited bunny girl was admiring Ileena’s outfit.

“Uhm… Good morning,” another girl greeted them suddenly.

“Good mor… ning… Emilia,” Narias turned to say hello but was awestruck by Emilia’s graceful looks.

“Good morning. Oh, wow,” Ileena said hello to Emilia as well, but was also amazed by how pretty she looked.

“Hey Emilia. Wow, you look sooo pretty,” Flavia was impressed beyond belief.

“Th… thank you,” Emilia said, while trying to hide her flushed face behind her snow-white hair. “You both look cute too.”

Differently than Ileena and Flavia, Emilia wore a dress. It was white in color, and looked very cute. It had short, loose sleeves to cover her shoulders. The top of her dress had a V neck finish, which was revealing just enough to make the girl look elegantly attractive. The heightened waist had the dress make an impression that Emilia was slimmer than she already was. However, the main reason probably for that was because Emilia had very nicely developed curvy hips. That being said, the dress also emphasised how long, and stunning her legs were.

“Thanks,” Flavia thanked Emilia for calling her cute, then instantly turned to Narias. “Hey partner, doesn’t Emilia look pretty?”

“Ah, yeah. Very… pretty…” Narias was trying not to stare too much.

“Thank you,” Emilia brushed her hair to the side, then rested both hands in front of her which made her look extremely cute.

Wooow… Narias thought Emilia was sparkling.

“Oh, sorry,” Narias had to quickly remember his manners then felt someone hug his arm. “Huh?”

“The carriage should be here soon. Why don’t we wait for it over there?” Ileena suggested after having her arm wrap around Narias’ arm.

“Sure. H… hey!” Flavia agreed and only then realized that Ileena was already taking Narias with her.

There were more students waiting to go to El’Roonst, so they wouldn’t be traveling by themselves. The carriage was almost full when everyone got on but Ileena and Flavia still made sure to have Narias sit in between them. Both girls were now ok to show they had some feelings for their boyfriend. While Narias was happy about it, he could also feel some jealous stares directed at him from the other students traveling with them.

“Tch… lucky guy,” one of the boys mumbled to himself.

“What a womanizer. He has no shame,” a girl whispered to another girl.

“Are you jealous?” her friend asked with a chuckle.

“Eh? O… of course not,” the first girl turned her face away with a blush.

“Ehm… Excuse me, Miss Emilia. If I may… Aaa… The dress you’re wearing is so beautiful. Oh, I… I’m sorry,” another girl brought up the courage to compliment how beautiful Emilia’s dress was.

“Thank you,” Emilia smiled at the girl. “Your dress is very pretty too. I like that ribbon on the side. It adds to your cuteness.”

“Wha… Wow, th… thank you, Miss Emilia,” the girl blushed.

The ride wasn’t boring. The other girls became more relaxed and had a nice conversation with the others. Emilia was polite and kind with everyone. She made the other girls feel at ease, and was encouraging to keep the conversation going. The students spent the travel time chatting with a bit of a laughter before the carriage stopped at El’Roonst.

“Yey, El’Roonst finally,” Flavia jumped out of the carriage and stretched up. “Hey, how about you show us to that store, Emilia?”

“Right now?” Emilia wasn’t against it but wasn’t expecting to see Flavia being in such a rush.

“Yeah, why not?” the energetic bunny girl didn’t see anything wrong with it.

“Wait, Flavia. We should go get the supplies for the Magic Dungeon exploration first,” Narias insisted.

“Narias is right. We should do what is necessary before doing anything else. You know how important it is, don’t you?” Ileena agreed with her boyfriend.

“Hah, easy for you to say. You and Emilia are wearing new outfits while I still have my old one. You’re stealing all the attention,” Flavia crossed her arms in front of her with an upset look on her face.

To which Ileena and Emilia had nothing to say. Other than put on the innocent girl acts. That just made them look even cuter. Ileena had one of her arms placed just below her chest while holding the other arm’s elbow. She very eloquently pretended to adjust her glasses, looking elegantly adorable. At the same time, Emilia was resting her both hands on her dress in a very shy manner. The Ice Princess was looking somewhere in the distance but not actually trying to see anything. Her innocent posture made her look extremely charming.

R… right… Narias quickly caught on what was going on.

“I’m sorry Flavia but we really need to buy the supplies first. We will be able to go to that shop that you want right after. But just so you know, I think you look very cute in your current outfit,” Narias was very smooth to add a sleek compliment at the very end.

“Really? Wow, thanks partner. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s go,” this time, Flavia was the one pulling Narias away.

“H… hey, Flavia, wait,” Ileena was too slow to do anything about it.

“Ghee…” the sly bunny girl grinned, knowing the score between her and Ileena was now one and one.

When they were talking about the dungeon exploration yesterday, Narias suggested to get a few extra things before they went there. They will be fighting monsters in there mainly, but he thought it would be useful to have things like pickaxe, rope, marker, torch, and so on. Unfortunately, Narias got into trouble again as soon as he mentioned the word ‘torch’. That wasn’t a term that the rest of his friends were familiar with. He had to be quick to think of an explanation without giving away that it was a term from his previous world.

“It’s… well… something that makes light, so we can see better,” Narias knew he was in trouble no matter what he said.

“You mean the Light Crystal?” Ileena asked, giving him a puzzling look.

“Yes, that’s right. Haha,” he tried to laugh it off.

“But why did you call it… wait what was it? ‘Troch’? ‘Turch’?” Flavia was struggling to remember what the word was.

“’Torch’,” Ileena pointed out.

“Yeah, that one,” the girl with the bunny ears exclaimed. “Why did you call it a ‘torch’, partner?”

“Well… eeer… I just thought it will be easier to have one word to describe it instead of saying ‘the light crystal’,” Narias knew it was the lamest explanation ever.

“Hey, that’s not bad. ‘Torch’, hah” surprisingly, Flavia thought it was a great idea.

“You come up with all kinds of unique names, Narias,” Ileena wasn’t against it either.

“’Torch’. Sounds cool,” Growly grinned, showing off his sharp teeth.

“Teehee,” Nicky chuckled, amused by the ruckus.

Sigh… I really need to think before I speak. Narias felt relieved at the time but he knew it won’t be the last time he had gotten himself into trouble because of his past life.

“Good morning, Miss Ferpaw,” Flavia greeted the shop owner loudly as soon as she entered the shop.

“Why good morning, Flavia. You look very charming today,” Mrs. Ferpaw greeted her back, then saw more people enter the shop. “Oh, you have friends with you. Good morning.”

“Hello. Good morning,” the greetings followed.

“Oh my, look at all the ladies around you, young man. You must feel really honored with all the attention,” Mrs. Ferpaw added with a bit of a chuckle.

“Ah, yeah. I guess,” of course, her comment made him feel quite uncomfortable.

“I’m sorry. My comment must’ve made you feel uncomfortable,” the bear beast woman apologised.

“Ah, no, not really,” he tried to not think about it but it was easier said than done. “Well, maybe a little.”

“Haha. I’m so sorry,” that just made Mrs. Ferpaw laugh.

“Hey, don’t sweat it, partner. I’ll give you all the attention you want today, especially when we get to that shop later. Ghee ghee,” Flavia clung to Narias with the cheekiest grin ever.

“F… Flavia,” that made Narias really sweat.

“Oh my… You’re as bold as ever, little Flavia,” the female shop owner covered her mouth with a laugh.

“Hey, we’re dating after all,” Flavia announced proudly.

“Really? But I thought…” Mrs. Ferpaw gave Ileena a puzzling look.

“Yes. I am dating Narias as well,” Ileena stated in a very normal tone after coming closer, and hugging Narias’ arm.

“Oh dear…” the fury woman then looked at another girl standing just a few steps away, then turned her eyes to Narias again. “Three girlfriends? Aren’t you a lady’s magnet, young man?”

Eeek! Narias shivered.

“Aaah… That’s not it. Emilia is not… my girlfriend…” he stuttered with his face burning bright red from embarrassment.

“Is that so?” Mrs. Ferpaw looked at the girl with the snow-white hair.

“We’re just… friends,” Emilia averted her eyes away with an adorable blush on her face.

“Is that so? I’m sorry then. But being friends is good too,” Mrs. Ferpaw smiled somewhat cheekily. “Oh, please forgive me for being so noisy. There must be a reason why you decided to come to our shop today?”

“Ah, yes. We want to buy a ‘Torch’,” Flavia answered her question.

“A… ‘Torch’?” the shop owner was confused.

“A Light Crystal,” Ileena said with a sigh. “Two or three, actually.”

“Oh, the Light Crystals? We have plenty of those,” Mrs. Ferpaw said with a chuckle. “Is there anything else that you need?”

“Well, we have a list,” the girl in glasses turned to Narias.

“Oh my. I better go get my husband,” said the fury woman after checking the list.

She left the shop floor and went to get her husband, Growla. In a few minutes she came back with the big bear beast man accompanying her. Their son, Growly, was with them as well.

“Hi,” Growly greeted everyone the way he usually does.

“Good morning, youngsters,” Growla greeted the students.

“Good morning, Mr. Ferpaw,” Narias greeted him.

The girls said hello as well.

“Wow, three girlfriends. You must be getting popular,” Mr. Ferpaw commented with a bit of a grin.

“Ah, no. That is…” Narias was about to explain himself again.

“Haha, don’t worry about it, boy. Anyway, Growly had already told me about what you need. I have everything packed and ready for you back in our storage room. But I doubt you’ll want to take all the stuff with you know, eh? You’ll want to have both of your hands free for the time being, don’t you?” Growla was even cheekier than his wife.

No way… He’s not implying anything, is he? Again, Narias started to sweat.

“Haha. You’re funny, Mr. Ferpaw,” his comment made Flavia laugh. “But yeah, we still plan to do some shopping. We’re gonna go buy some new outfits for ourselves.”

“New outfits, you say? Ghrrr…” Growla grinned wide after giving Narias another satisfied look.

“Aaah… haha,” Narias could do nothing but smile back at the big bear beast man.

“Hah, sounds like fun. Now, back to your list of things. I can have it send to my son’s dorm, so you can pick it up when you’re back. If you don’t mind paying extra for the delivery, that is?” Growla asked.

“Yes, that’ll be fine,” Ileena instantly agreed.

“That’s settled then,” the fury bear man said. “By the way, I wanted to thank you for taking care of our son. He became more outspoken lately, and had told me that he is enjoying his time with you all. Especially hanging out with you, Narias.”

“D… dad…” that just made Growly feel uncomfortable.

“We really appreciate all that you do for our son,” his mom ignored her son’s comment and added an additional thank you.

“Mooom…” now Growly wanted to hide from everyone.

“Hey, that’s not a problem at all. Growly is fun to hang out with,” Flavia told them with a smile.

“Yeah, Growly is a great guy, and is a good friend,” added Narias.

“He is more than welcome at our Magic Research student club,” Ileena said, while adjusting her glasses.

“What a nice thing to say,” Mrs. Ferpaw was touched by their kind words.

“Hah, I’m so proud of you son,” Growla patted his son on the shoulder.

“Th… thanks,” Growly said quietly.

“Anyway, I’ll send all the stuff to you today,” Mr. Ferpaw turned back to the students. “To tell you the truth, I was surprised to hear you would need pickaxes. Not many people order them these days. Now that I think about it, there are some nice materials that you could get from the Magic Dungeon. Although, I doubt you’ll be able to get your hands on the really good stuff just yet. But if you could get some Crystalized Mold from the Magic Dungeon for starters, I could make some nice accessories out of it. I’ll even throw a discount for you as an additional thanks.”

Growla threw another satisfied glance at Narias, which made him shiver on the spot.

“Thank you, Mr. Ferpaw,” he obviously got the hint but acted like he didn’t.

“Alright then, it’s time for me to go back to work. Thanks for coming by, youngsters. Come on Growly, let’s get the merchandise ready,” Growla told his son before turning to go.

“Thank you for coming today. Enjoy your day out in the city,” Mrs. Ferpaw said goodbye.

“Cool. We got everything that we needed, right?” Flavia was itching to go shopping now.

“Yes. I thought we’ll have to visit several shops to buy everything. We were lucky that Mr. Ferpaw had everything we needed,” said Narias.

“Well, it was probably thanks to Growly. He must’ve told his dad that we’ll be coming, so they collected everything in advance,” Ileena assumed that was the case.

“Great. So, now that we are done with the dungeon supplies…” the charming bunny girl grinned wide. “How about you show us to that shop, Emilia?”

“Yes, I can. If everyone is ok with it, that is? I think we can take this path here,” Emilia, who was very much silent most of the time, agreed to show the way.

“Yey, let’s go,” Flavia clung to Narias again.
