The scent was tantalizing. Nawaki yearned for a taste. He had successfully hunted a large rabbit, a superior breed compared to the standard ones, which also dropped purple orbs. Blood dripped from the sizable prey.

Thinking he was about to be expelled from the hunting dimension, Nawaki decided to implement a plan he had been contemplating. He cut down a tree, then skillfully shaped it into a leaf form without directly touching it. Three shadow clones worked to hold the large rabbit, using its blood to draw seal patterns on the wooden leaf, infusing them with their chakra.

After completing the hand seals, they managed to pull the injured rabbit into the center of the wooden construct. "It worked!" Nawaki's eyes sparkled with excitement, and the moment he touched the wood with both hands, it vanished.

"Hahaha!" The sound of his clone's laughter echoed, startling Nawaki's main body. Although it was his command to attempt sealing a rabbit in this manner, the laughter was disconcertingly strange.

'If it's laughing like that, it must have worked—'

His thoughts were abruptly cut off. The clone's laughter had attracted the attention of a gigantic, four-meter-tall flaming red lion. Feeling the urgency through his shadow clone's memories, Nawaki knew he wasn't ready to face such a beast and retreated further.

As night fell, the hunting dimension became a domain of larger, more fearsome creatures. Giant rabbits were more frequent, along with dire green wolves and lions. There were also monstrous creatures like black dragons and 20-meter-long gray lizards, which had claimed several of his shadow clones.

Nawaki remained cautious, not letting his newfound powers cloud his judgment. He wouldn't take risks unless he was at least 50% confident of success. While he fantasized about obtaining better orbs, the current ones were still immensely valuable. With his increasing pace of digesting the orbs, maintaining a substantial stockpile was crucial, even if it meant quickly expiring in the hunting dimension.

However, Nawaki resolved not to engage in any reckless actions with his main body. He continued to target the super-huge rabbits, which yielded five weak red orbs and one small purple orb each.

Outside Nawaki's room, Tsunade knocked on the door. Receiving no response, she opened it and found what she suspected. After creating a shadow clone to stand guard outside, she entered the room.

Sitting at the edge of the bed, Tsunade gently caressed Nawaki's face. 'He looks like a sleeping angel...' she thought, smiling softly. Her fingers brushed through his hair, enjoying the sensation as she played with the strands.

The reason for Sarutobi-sensei summoning Nawaki to the Hokage's office weighed on her mind, stirring complex emotions.

Nawaki had been in the hunting dimension for two days and was reaching a point of desperation. While the extended stay was beneficial, he worried about the time lost in the outside world.

He contemplated a drastic exit but was suddenly overcome by intense pain and darkness. In his dark mist form within the shadows, he was struck by an unseen enemy. Whether it was the black dragon or the giant lizard, he couldn't be sure; the attack was swift and lethal, leaving no time for his shadow clones to identify the assailant.

Regaining consciousness in his room, Nawaki was sweating and trembling with pain. "Nawaki?" Tsunade's concerned voice reached him. Turning towards her, he saw her applying healing chakra.

"Thank you, Sis," he managed to smile.

Relieved to see him responsive, Tsunade noted there were no visible injuries on his body. Nawaki, looking out the window and seeing it was dark, asked, "Is it Tuesday night?"

"No, it's still Sunday," Tsunade replied, puzzled by his question.

"Sunday?!" Nawaki was stunned. Two days in the hunting dimension had equated to only a few hours in the real world. The disparity in time was more than he had suspected.

As he processed this, Tsunade continued, "The Hokage has requested your presence, along with Granny Mito."

"Why? What does he want with me?" Nawaki inquired.

"You'll find out when you get there," she responded, standing up. "Clean up and head over. Granny Mito is already at the Hokage's office."

Acknowledging her, Nawaki scratched his head, setting aside his plans to retrieve the sealed rabbit board for later. He prepared to meet with the Hokage, curious about the reason for the summons.

-

Nawaki reached the Hokage's office, accompanied by an assistant who knocked on the door. "Hokage-sama, Nawaki Senju-sama is here," announced the assistant.

"Let him in," came Sarutobi's voice from within.

As Nawaki entered, he saw the Hokage, Sarutobi, seated behind a wooden desk. The Hokage, wearing his official hat which concealed his black hair, had a small goatee and was puffing on a pipe. He greeted Nawaki with a smile, removing the pipe from his mouth to exhale a ring of white smoke.

Nawaki's eyes widened in surprise upon seeing Mikoto in the office, along with a middle-aged couple. The woman, bearing a kind smile, seemed to radiate warmth as she looked at Nawaki. The man, though his expression was stern, did not exude any hostility towards Nawaki.

Mito, Nawaki's grandmother, was conversing with the woman whom Nawaki deduced to be Mikoto's adoptive mother. She paused when Nawaki entered, turning her attention to him.

"Hello, Nawaki," the woman greeted him warmly. "I am Mikoto's mother, Manami Uchiha. And this," she nudged the man beside her, "is her father, Kenshin Uchiha."

"Hello, Aunt Manami and Uncle Kenshin. It's a pleasure to finally meet you," Nawaki greeted them with a respectful smile.

To his surprise, his friendly introduction seemed to soften Kenshin Uchiha's stern expression, even coaxing a small smile from him.
