Chapter hundred and twelve: The seer 3

Toni tried hard to control his breathing. He has been a seer since he understood what the word means but he had never seen someone with the ability to see the past.

"You! You were raised by wolves!"

When he first heard the Queen's accusation, he froze temporarily. He hadn't imagined it. When he held her hand to connect with her, he used his ability to see her future but he also opened a two door pathway and the Queen had taken one to his past.

"Yes, I was" Toni answered truthfully. If he could see, he would see Alexander's glare on his face.

He would also see the anger lines on his forehead. Jamie pulled away from Alexander to look at the boy.

"What are you?" Jamie asked the little lad.

"I am a Seer. I can see into a person's future"

Alexander was getting uncomfortable with the conversation and the honestly on the blind seer's part.

"We should go" Alexander grabbed Jamie's hand and pulled her towards the door but she resisted.

"I saw you as a child. How is that even possible?"

The boy was mute. The question eluded him too.

"Speak!" Jamie yelled at him.

"I don't know. I have the ability to open a door to take a peek into the future, that door can also lead to the past and somehow, you went through the other door" Toni answered truthfully.

"But how..." Alexander was getting curious too but he couldn't have this conversation with Janessa present. "We should go, Janessa"

"No. I want to know what he saw. What does the future hold for me?"

Jamie shook her head before turning her attention to the Seer.

"What did you see, Toni?"

The boy appeared uneasy like he didn't want to say it "I saw emptiness...blood and a little girl with purple eyes wearing that!"

Toni pointed to Jamie's neck. Jamie blinked. Her hand went to her neck to enclose her necklace. It was the symbol of her kingdom.

"But I am not a little girl anymore, maybe you saw my past or maybe you are not a Seer. My eyes are green not purple"

Toni nodded. For once he didn't want to be a seer too.

Jamie turned and left the cottage. But before Alexander followed her behind, the seer spoke to him "There are three sisters living in the eastern hemisphere. They are Seers but their mother was a sorceress... maybe they can help you. I only caught a glimpse of the purple eyed girl"

Alexander left the cottage too without saying anything to the boy. He wondered what he just accomplished by bringing Janessa to Trinity....more questions.

And he found out, she could walk into his head like it was her chamber and she can see someone's past too. Great! Alexander was angry because instead of getting answers to his questions, he found more questions.

He knew he needed to find his sister and take his family home.

Alexander found Rosemund with Semeen by the river shore.

"What did the Seer see?" Rosemund asked Alexander.

"Nothing. But Janessa did see him as a child in a basket surrounded by wolves" Alexander decided to keep part of the encounter to himself until he was sure of what was going on.

"She did?" Semeen sounded surprised.

"Yes"

Rosemund touched Alexander's hand gently "Semeen says she can hear a wolf's thought"

Alexander knew there was no point lying "She can connect to our link. It's not same thing as mind reading. Rose, we have to get back to the castle. Can you go and find Janessa? and...be gentle, she might be upset. Semeen and I will make the last arrangement for the pack"

Rosemund walked away even though she wanted to ask more questions but she knew her brother had no answers for her. One question tugged in her mind, was Janessa a good addition to her family or will she bring about the downfall of her kingdom?

She found her near the kitchen staring at nothing in particular.

"Janessa, we have to go back to the castle now"

Alexander spoke to the pack outside. He wanted to know if their Alpha was ready to swear allegiance to him or if he was going to grant them safe passage out of his hemisphere.

"Have you decided, Alpha Blake?" Alexander asked the brown eyed man standing in front of him.

"Swear your loyalty to the Wolf King or leave the west" Semeen spoke behind the King.

Blake gave it a thought for a second or two before he slowly lowered his one knee to the ground. "Long Live the Wolf King!"

When his pack heard his chant and saw his submission, slowly they all bowed to King Alexander.

"Long live the Wolf King!" They all cheered him as Alexander watched them.

"The pack will journey to the dead zone and will take residence with the rest of my pack. In my absence, Semeen is in charge"

Blake raised his face to look at Alexander "You said we will have autonomy"

"I changed my mind, we are all going to be one pack but every pack that join my pack will form a clan or a sub pack or whatever, they will still have a leader they have to answer to in my absence, someone I like to call Alpha Commander. So listen up, Alpha Blake...you are now the commander of your pack only outranked by Semeen and myself"

Alexander waited for an argument but none came from commander Blake.

"Yes, your highness"

"Good. Semeen will take you to my pack. Journey well, commander"

Alexander turned walked away. He was the Wolf king and it was now his duties to find the rest of the werewolves out there and bring them home. But first, he has to figure out what was wrong with his wife.

Alexander walked back to the cottage to see Toni one more time.

"Where shall I find the three sisters?" He asked him.

"You will find the sisters in the eastern hemisphere by the river on the border between the kingdom of Narva and Namura"

***

Alexander was quiet throughout the carriage ride from Trinity to Aradale. Jamie might have been too occupied by the happenings of the day to notice but Rosemund did.

When they reached the castle, Alexander helped Jamie down from the carriage and she walked herself inside without waiting for an escort. Her mind was racing with a lot of questions. How was she able to see a seer's past? It unnerved her and it was hugely unsettling. Jamie went straight to her room.

Alexander stood by the railing when Rosemund approached him.

"Something is bothering you and I need to know why?" Rosemund's voice startled Alexander.

"I am conflicted, little sister. I am conflicted. The seer wasn't of much help to me. Jamie can now hear me talk in my head and the only way to find out what is truly going on is to risk everything"

Rosemund moved closer to be on the same standing plane as her brother.

"The seer said the answers we seek about the Queen might be answered if we go to the eastern hemisphere. I have to take her to the boundary between Narva kingdom and... Namura"

Now Rosemund understood perfectly.

"You are afraid of what Janessa would do if you take her back to her kingdom. You are afraid she will find out the truth" Rosemund waited patiently for an answer.

"Yes" Alexander answered.

"You are a good man, Alexander Lucian of Aradale. You are my brother and you are a good man but...we have to know. We have to risk it. We have to know if she is a blessing to us or a curse we have to get rid of"

"Doesn't matter what she is. She is my wife and that is final" Alexander turned to make sure Rosemund got his point. No harm was to befall his Queen and it was his final decision.

"Okay. But we still have to go to the Eastern hemisphere"

Rosemund turned and left. But she knew deep down if it came between choosing her brother and the Queen, she would do the needful and damn the consequences.

To keep his mind off of the stress of the day and that of watching his knight sent off to an unwanted marriage. Alexander practice with three of his best knight. He fought to keep his demons at bay. It also helped him think.

In the night, he retired to the Queen's Chamber. Alexander would have preferred to be left alone but he told Janessa earlier in the week that they would be sharing a bed.

He was restless as he laid on the bed with her snuggled up next to him. She was restless too. She kept tossing and moving like she couldn't pick a sleeping position.

"Are you alright, Monisha?"

"No. I don't understand today. And I don't like not understanding things"

"What if I tell you I can get all the answers for you?"
