Chapter hundred and thirty six: Restoration
Alexander raced to where Judd's body was. He looked pale like he was dead.
"Judd!" He shook him.
Alexander felt the sadness in his soul. He was late and his friend was gone.
Eileen pulled herself from the spot she sat. She was either in shock or completely out of her mind. She had a split lip and her clothes were thorn and blood stain.
"Is he dead?" Jamie asked as she moved closer to help Eileen up but Eileen won't let Jamie touch her.
She pushed herself until she was by Judd's side. She kissed him.
"Come on, Luther. Don't you dare! Don't you dare die on me" Eileen's voice was teary and heavy "Please, don't leave me alone. You promised! Wake up!"
She shook his hard but it was too late. Eileen felt tremors slowly come over her. She shook as sobs erupted violently through her, leaving almost torn into halves.
Then the anger came and she launched herself at Alexander and scratched him. She still inhale and exhale like it was the most tedious job she had.
Alexander was confused.
"You killed him! You killed him!" Eileen's accusation made no sense to anyone.
She kept scratching Alexander and he made no attempt to hurt her. He simply tried to calm her down by using his big arms to restrain her. Then he pulled her into his arms and hugged her.
Soon, Eileen calmed down and relaxed in his arms but she didn't stop crying.
"I am sorry" Alexander whispered as his hand rubbed Eileen's hair.
"He protected me" Eileen pulled away to look the king straight in the eyes "He was injured. He was bleeding but he hid it from me until it was too late. Why would he do that? He was in pain and he hid it from me"
The crying and the talking was making Eileen breathe fast. Alexander knew what sge wanted. She just wanted to understand. She was gaslighted and now, she couldn't gasps what had just happened to her.
"I...I...I can't breathe. I can-can't breathe. I am alone again" Eileen struggled with breathing.
"Eileen!" Alexander screamed at her "Focus on my voice. Come on, take slow breathe. Breathe in....now, breathe out"
Eileen was calmer in minutes.
Everyone else was in shock except Blake. He hardly even knew the knight. He moved closer and pressed his ear to his chest. If he was slightly alive, his acute hearing will detect it but there was nothing.
"Eileen, we will take care of him" Alexander promised her.
Alexander ignored the pain on his own chest. If he was the dead one, he knew Judd would ignore his pain and take care of Janessa.
"Don't bother"Blake stood up and lifted Judd.
It was the weirdest thing Alexander had ever seen, Judd was practically a giant and Blake was not. It took a lot of practice for Alexander to lift his shadow but this man had done it in his first attempt.
"What are you doing?" Eileen asked the man holding her husband.
"He is not dead but he will be soon if I don't get him to a physician" Blake explained to everyone.
Eileen stood up and wiped her face.
"There is a pond here rumoured to have the power to heal the sick" Eileen told them.
"It makes sense now why you came here Instead of the west" Alexander told her.
"The men that attacked us had the symbol of your house, King Alexander. The West attacked us" Eileen told him bitterly.
"Everyone! I am carrying a giant!" Blake reminded them.
"Follow me!" Eileen pointed towards an entrance.
Blake carried the knight through the entrance and he came across a woman in red.
"Who are you?" Alexander asked her.
"Someone that has to tell you that your friend doesn't have a lot of time. He is about to cross over" Red answered.
"Where is the pond?" Eileen screamed at the woman.
"Me...why are you asking me? Shouldn't you be asking her?" The woman pointed at Jamie.
"I don't know where the pond is?" Jamie sounded confused. She wanted to ask the woman but she was gone.
"Jamie, help me!" Eileen pleaded with her.
"But I don't know how.... every one shut up. I am thinking" Everyone kept quiet.
Jamie hated that the mysterious woman placed her on a spot but she needed to think. The place doesn't look familiar.
"Jamie, he is dying. Do something!" Eileen told her.
"I don't know what to do" Jamie accepted the truth.
Eileen started crying again. Jamie felt bad. Where was the woman in red when she was needed.
"If only someone has magic amongst you, Wolf King" The woman was standing on a rock and she pointed straight at Alexander.
"I have magic but I can't get the bracelet off" Eileen answered before anyone could get over the shock especially Ursla and Walters.
"What should we do, Red?!" Jamie yelled at the woman playing game with them.
"How should I know? You are the mistress!" Red answered.
She was having fun playing with Judd's life.
"Eileen try, please" Alexander asked her
"I have tried to take it off" Eileen answered truthfully.
"Let me" Jamie moved closer and pulled at the bracelet and it removed.
Eileen looked surprised at first but then she diverted her attention to finding the pond.
She looked around the place until she found a hidden door. Then she read the inscription on the wall asking for blood and she gave hers and the door opened. Eileen saw the water.
"Come on! Hurry! I found the pond"
Blake carried Judd inside and submerged him inside the pond and he gasped and opened his eyes. He was still weak from blood loss.
"Luther!" Eileen moved closer and hugged him. "Thank goodness you are alive!"
Judd was disoriented and confused. His eyelids were heavy and kept trying to shut. But he saw the king and the queen first, then his knight and Semeen but the other two visitors, he had no idea of their identities.
"You gave us a scare" Jamie murmured.
"Sorry. The people that attacked us, they were carrying the symbol of Aradale..."
"I didn't send anyone after you, Judd" Alexander was fast to indicate.
"You didn't let him finish....I might have believed you were trying to kill us but Luther never did. Was he right?" Eileen asked the King.
Alexander was mute.
"He won't say it but he doesn't go back killing his family member" Judd answered for Alexander.
Alexander chuckled "You think we are family? You work for me" Alexander reminded him.
"Yet the greatest king on earth is currently risking his life and that of his Queen to rescue me. If that doesn't scream that we are more than King and lead knight then nothing does, Alexander" Judd closed his eyes briefly "You can admit it, your highness"
"Admit what, Judd?" Alexander asked it.
"That you are not made of stone" Judd slipped back in unconsciousness.
"We need to get him to a physician" Jamie suggested.
Eileen pulled up his shirt and stared at his body "His injury is gone. He just needs rest"
Blake carried Judd again. His whole body getting drenched by the water from Judd's body.
"Kingdom of Koi is closer than the West" Walters pointed out.
"Yes but..." Eileen answered but Semeen already had a blade to her throat.
"What are you doing?" Eileen asked the girl but even Alexander didn't try to stop her.
"You are not Queen Eileen of Koi" Alexander told her. "Who are you?"
"I am Queen of Koi! How dare you threaten me?" Eileen yelled at them.
"When I found out you and Judd were missing, I went to Koi and I found out that you are an imposter. They have a Queen but it's not you" Alexander explained to her.
"That explains everything...I had a feeling that they were going to try and overthrown me but I had no idea, they will actually replace me" Eileen stared out in the open space. "The attack on us makes sense. My subjects wants me dead"
Alexander had no idea whether she was telling the truth or not. He had no way of knowing.
"Your highness, may I have a word with you?" Jamie asked and moved away from the rest of the crew.
Blake simply dropped Judd's body back into the pond. He looked annoyed.
Alexander moved closer to his wife.
"I can find out if she is telling the truth" Jamie told him.
"You mean with your powers?"
"I can take a glimpse of her past. Do I have your permission?" Jamie waited until he nodded before she took a blade and prick her finger.
She went back and she grabbed Eileen's hand for a minute before she let go.
"She is telling the truth. She is Queen of Koi. Our apologies, your majesty" Jamie lowered her head just a little bit.
"I don't need your apology. I need help from the king. I need to get my kingdom back" Eileen spoke with anger
"You have it" Alexander answered her. His voice was apologetic.
"Good. But first we need to get Judd out of the pond before he drowns and Queen Jamie, your kingdom is nearby, right?"
"What?" Jamie sounded confused.
"We should take Luther to Namura"
