Chapter sixty three: The other woman

Jamie moved closer to the king and the mistress he had the audacity to bring into the royal dining room. Her Royal dining room!

Alexander watched his wife and part of him knew she would cause a scene. She might grab Semeen by arm and drag her out or she might verbally state her displeasure about it.

Alexander wondered why Semeen did what she did. It was just like the time she walked in on him dressing up without shame.

She might be the Alpha Luna of his pack but she crossed a line and it was too late to drop her hand without looking like a coward scared of his wife.

Jamie was so close now and so was Rosemund.

"I see we have a guest!" Jamie said with a good natured smile that didn't go beyond the face.

Semeen smiled boldly at her. Jamie could see the King had a type. His mistress aren't boring and they are as bold as a mare. Good for him! She simply wanted to tear her about.

"Your Majesty" Semeen had a good natured smile as she acknowledge the Queen of the realm and her pack. She wanted to puke.

Alexander was so uncomfortable to say the least.

"Aren't you going to introduce us, your Highness? The last one was at least bold enough to tell me her name" Jamie intentionally made mention of the last girl to spite Semeen "Well, I am sure you know about that, girl since the three of you were just having a conversation on the hallway....so civil, I might add"

Alexander finally took off Semeen's hand from his arm. He smiled like he wasn't upset with both women.

"Queen Janessa, this is Semeen...our guest for breakfast today. Semeen, you already know her Majesty, my lovely wife" Alexander introduced them formally.

He also went ahead and signaled the Royal announcer to announce their presence.

Rosemund was so close to the drama that she heard everything. She moved closer to her brother and grabbed his hand.

"Your Highness, will you be kind enough as to walk me to the dining hall....if the Queen doesn't mind?" Rosemund wanted to take her brother out of the equation.

"I don't, sister in law" Jamie answered sweetly.

"His Highness, King Alexander of Aradale and her Royal Highness, crown princess Rosemund of Aradale"

Alexander took his sister hand but instead of leaving Jamie behind, he offered his other arm to her and waited patiently while she made up her mind.

After a second or two, Jamie took the arm he offered.

"Her Majesty, Queen Janessa of Aradale" the royal announcer quickly added.

Semeen was the last to walk inside and she wasn't announced since she had no title.

Food was deserved and for a while everyone ate in silence until Alexander spoke.

"Your Majesty, have you given any thoughts to choosing your ladies in waiting and a Queen's advisor?" Alexander asked his sulking wife.

"Yes, Milord. Lady Lucinda May is officially the Queen's advisor and she is great at the job. May I ask when you plan to give the lordship title to her husband and announcing him to be the new royal councilor?" Jamie asked as she took a sip of water. She hated that it wasn't wine. Who made the stupid rule that wine shouldn't be served with breakfast?

"The declaration will be at the royal ball three days after the hunt. Rose, will you make preparation for the hunt?" Alexander asked of his sister.

"Isn't that the Queen's job, King Alexander? I have made preparations for the hunt, husband" Jamie told him. Rosemund simple exhaled through the mouth, eating breakfast with her brother and his wife was exhausting.

Semeen was silent as the Royal family conversed. She simply ate the delicious food that was served to her.

"About choosing your ladies in waiting, Janessa....what plans have you made? Do you need me to choose the rest of your Ladies in waiting? It's the king's job after all"

Jamie dropped her golden spoon. She noticed everything in the king's home was made of gold instead of silver.

"I had no idea Milord had chosen any lady for me" Jamie secretly glared at him. She couldn't publicly show her disdain. She took a sip out of the cup.

"I have. Semeen is going to be one of your Ladies in waiting and if you can't chose the rest, I will have them by your side by noon tomorrow" Alexander said softly.

Jamie banged the cup on the table. Now, she knows Alexander had gone mad all of sudden. Why would he want her to spend everyday looking at his mistress? It was both cruel and uncalled for.

"I am?" Semeen voiced out at least. For the first time, Semeen and Jamie agreed on something. It was a bad idea to keep both of them in close proximity.

"Is the king sure it's a good idea?" Rosemund asked. For once, she was taking her sister in law's side over her clueless brother.

"I had no idea that my decisions has to be questioned by my own family" Alexander said to his sister with a hand sign. Rosemund nodded and went back to her food.

"I don't like that arrangement, Alexander" Jamie told him at last.

Alexander stared at her intently. His face and eyes were blank.

"You don't have to like it. You just have to obey me" he whispered to her.

"Yes, your Highness" Jamie said and resumes eating quietly.

The next half hour went by quietly. Alexander watched his wife. She hide her emotions very well but Rosemund was an open book. Alexander knew his sister hated it when he used his authority over her. But it had to be done, he had to get Semeen close enough to figure out why Jamie had the ability to wake him during his wolf state. He just had to know.

When they finished breakfast.. Jamie didn't even wait for the king to walk her, she simply bowed to him and left.
