Chapter seventy six: Crazy Queen and the trapped knight.

Judd turned immediately. Did he just hear the queen secure the latch on the door? What the hell was the queen thinking?

Eileen couldn't decided on which of her legs she should place her body weight on and so she kept changing it giving the appearance of a dancing mantis. If there was something like that.

"What are you doing, Eileen?" Judd asked her.

Eileen smiled. He had called her by her name instead of her tittle. So far she was doing well if she was asked.

It was why she choose Judd. Every man in the East that wasn't a king always bowed and made her superior. They take a look at her and they see a Queen and not a young woman. But not this man. He wasn't a coward.

"I have a proposal for you, Luther"

"Unlatch the door and I will give you a listening ear, Milady" Judd's voice was firm and unwavering like he wasn't giving her any choice. But one of the good qualities of being a Queen was she was skilled in the art of ignoring orders from men.

"I have a proposal and you are going to say yes" Eileen told him.

"I am?" Judd sounded amused. Eileen's statement amused him.

"Yes. It will be beneficial to the both of us" Eileen assured him.

Judd had never been one to turn down a good deal. His back remained stiff and his lips tightly glued together and his eyes stared lazily at the young queen.

"You have two minutes"

Most people found him uncomfortable to be in the same vicinity and others were too afraid of him. He wasn't a harsh man but people take a look at him and concluded that he was. After all, it would require a harsh knight to be the right hand man to the devil of Aradale. He never corrected that assumption. Infact, Judd liked it. It made people stay away from him and he hated talking anyway.

The beautiful queen took a hair band and tried to put her hair up. It was Eileen's way of buying time before she spoke. But gathering her long strawberry blonde hair in her tiny hands proved difficult and she struggled with it.

For God's sake! Judd cursed inwardly. That he preferred to stay away from beautiful women doesn't mean he was immune to them. He moved closer, his left hand finally leaving the sword, he held her hair for her while she neatly tied the hair band.

"Thank you" Eileen murmured.

Eileen knew it was now or never, she sat on the horns of delimma. She was Queen. He would be a fool to deny her request.

"Queen Eileen, you have forty seconds left" his gruff voice caressed her ears but it also made her skip a heart beat.

"But...but I haven't even started yet" Eileen complained.

Wait! Why wasn't he treating her like a queen? Instead he was talking to her as if she was a little girl.

"Thirty eight seconds, Milady"

"Are you supposed to be counting seconds for a queen, Luther Judd?" Eileen queried.

"I am not your subject, queen Eileen...thirty two seconds"

"Fuck it!" Eileen moved closer to him. For a lady, she was a giant herself. Almost two inches taller than Jamie.

She pressed her lips to his, briefly before she pulled away. There was no way he could tell that it was her first kiss, right?....right?

"I want an affair with you, Luther!" She spoke too fast. It wasn't boldness, it was just so she doesn't change her mind. Blood pounded in her ears as she waited for his reply. She was a beautiful blonde haired queen with a lot to offer him there was no way he was going to say....

"No" Judd whispered.

"Wait? What.....no?"

"No. May I be excused, Milady? I am quit certain the king requires my attention"

Eileen's face was expressionless. Just a blank page Judd couldn't read.

Was she going to order for his punishment? If she told the King that she wanted Judd punished, Judd knew for sure Alexander would take his side but the scandal would be there?

Will she go into a fit of rage for his rejection? A million things crept through Judd's mind, he had never been unable to read a person's countenance but she was blank.

"You are excused, Luther. I apologize for taking your time" Eileen strolled to the door and unlatched it. She opened the door and held it open.

It was Judd's turn to be dumbfounded. Was she going to pretend that he didn't turn her down?

"Do have a good evening!" She declared with a smile.

Judd walked to the door but before he stepped out, he just had to ask her a question.

"You are not angry, Milady?"

"If I wanted a mindless spineless man, my list would be longer, Sir Judd" Eileen answered him.

Judd blinked.

"You have a list?"

"Goodnight, Luther"

Eileen made the door wider and he walked out. She was disappointed. It would have been more fun if Judd had accepted. She couldn't deny that she was attracted to him but....oh well!

She pulled out her drawer to take out a neatly folded scroll and pen. Eileen threw a line over Judd's name. She had added his name last but he was first to be off the list. Eileen wanted to day dream a little more but the door opened and her handmaid walked inside.

Judd walked slowly along the hall. His mind still fixated on Eileen. She was a strange queen even stranger than his Queen, Janessa.

He was almost lost in thoughts when he came face to face with a squirrelly looking manservant. The man servant had a panicked countenance. Usually Judd never cared but it made him aware of the whispers around every corner.

"What is going on?" He asked the manservant.

"You didn't hear, Sir Judd....our Queen was attacked and severely injured!"

Judd's hand instinctively went to the hilt of his sword as he took off in a Sprint..... racing to where was supposed to be.
