Chapter 422: A Bright Idea
"Xiao Chen, it's time to eat. Wake up!" Hearing Zhang Wenling calling for him, Lu Chen woke up. He stretched his arms as he came downstairs. There, he saw the table was filled with many dishes.
"What's with all this food?" Lu Chen tilted his head. This was more of a feast than a regular breakfast.
Zhang Wenling stepped out of the kitchen, "That's because I wanted to have some fun today."
"I see." Lu Chen didn't think much about it as he sat down in his seat, "Where are eldest and second brother?" Lu Hao and Lu Aotian weren't there at the table.
"The two of them had to go to work. So they left earlier. You don't need to worry about the two. You need to eat, and that's it." Zhang Wenling quickly raised some scallion pancakes,
"I've made your favorite pancakes."
"I see." Lu Chen didn't think much about it as he ate. But as he ate,
"What?" He looked up to see Zhang Wenling and Lu Xiaotong staring at him. It was a strange stare as he felt the two look at him for a while now.
Lu Xiaotong said calmly, "We were wondering how you're doing at your company."
"It's been doing fine." These past few days were good. With Deng Haoren's collaboration coming, there wasn't much to be done now. He needed to work on a few more pieces of paperwork, and that was about it.
"I see. Also, have you been feeling fine?" Zhang Wenling said with a concerned expression.
"...Yeah." Lu Chen felt something off with that wording. But he didn't think much about it as he finished his breakfast,
"Thank you for the food. I'm going to go to work now." Lu Chen didn't think much about it as he left.

"Well, you heard him, dear. Xiao Chen said he was fine. You don't need to worry about him anymore." Lu Xiaotong said with a calm expression. Zhang Wenling, on the other hand, thought differently,
"Do you really think so?! Do you know how long he's been working these days?" Zhang Wenling worried about Lu Chen. He had been staying at his company for a long time now. He would come home at midnight. And that was the earliest time when he returned.
Who wouldn't be worried about their children?
"I really think that engagement has been affecting him." She knew how much Lu Chen loved Liu Fei Fei. He was probably overworking himself because he didn't want to think about it again.
"You're overthinking this." Lu Xiaotong didn't see any of that on Lu Chen's face when he talked to him. He seemed normal.
There was nothing wrong.

"How about I set up some dates for Xiao Chen?!" Zhang Wenling thought it was a great idea.
"... don't think that's a good idea." Lu Xiaotong thought the opposite. If his wife did that, Lu Chen might pop a blood vessel.
"Bleh, you know nothing." Zhang Wenling didn't think about it as she started to type on her phone. Nothing needed to be said as what was coming next would be a problem.
Lu Xiaotong could only grab his head.
"Achoo!" While all of this happened, Lu Chen sneezed in his car! Do I have a cold? Wait, is someone talking about me?
