Chapter 59: The Road Downtown

It has been a week since Violet has started living with us, in the winter villa. And I must say at first things was very awkward for all of us, since we never had a guest living with us before and for violet, she was used to living all alone with the Viscount.
And there were many awkward and weird moments we have been through the last seven days, about which I would prefer not to talk about but right now we are all good. And unlike what I thought, violet prefers simple things and she doesn't like being around servants all the time.
Unlike the violet in the tea party, she is anti-social most of the time stuck in her room reading books or painting pictures. I always get worried that maybe she is bored but every time I look at her, she looks contained with what she has and at times like that she always has a smile on her face not a social smile but a real smile.
I believe these all are good points but...still, I want her to see the world around her too, I was there to have some fun...which is why today I along with violet are going to sneak out of the house and visit the downtown market. It's a bit risky but I believe nothing bad will happen furthermore we will return before evening.
"Lady winter? Is this dress fine?" Violet who was standing in front of me wearing a common dress asked.
She was wearing a white layered short sleeves top with an olive green panelled skirt and a pair of brown low heels shoes, her hair was tied in two ponytails.
She doesn't look like a commoner but this much must work.....ugh she's too pretty...
" Yes it's very pretty," I said as I smiled towards her.
"You flatter me Lady winter, you don't look bad yourself...hmm..but I feel like I have seen that dress before in the carnival...maybe.." Violet said as she came near me and looked at me from top to bottom.
"Carnival? Is Lady Carot talking about the summer carnival?" I asked as I looked at her.
"Yes, Lady Winter is right. I went to the summer carnival this summer along with the viscount and I saw some similar figures there and one of them was wearing the same dress like the lady." Violet said as she looked at me with her emerald eyes, which were telling me to tell the truth.
"Looks like Lady Carot has a really good memory for her age," I said as I smiled towards her.
"Well, maybe and if my intuition is right that girl was no other than you right Lady winter," Violet said as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.
"Yes, Lady Carot is right it was me~," I said as I shrugged.
"That means lady winter has been sneaking out. do the house all this time, Am I right?" Violet asked as she wore a normal straw hat.
"Well not always...as far as I remember the last time I sneaked out like that was almost a month ago," I said as I wore my shoes.
"I see that must have been fun but lady winter on the summer carnival I saw other figures alongside you...if it's not too much to ask for then may I know who they were?" Violet asked as she looked at me with curious eyes.
Honestly, it's nothing big telling her as ai know she isn't the type to gossip around about others but...this matter was a secret between us and I bet the princes think the same too.....it may sound childish but it's a beautiful memory which I want to keep just for myself.
"Lady carot, they were just some friends I made along the way to the carnival," I said as I held her hand, they were warm.
"And there is no need to think about that day, today I want to make your day better!" I said as I smiled at her.
"...As you wish lady winter.." Violet said as she smiled at me.
And after that, both of us somehow escaped the villa and took a public carriage to the downtown. The road was bumpy.....a lot bumpy but still it was fun at least for violet because she kept laughing throughout the journey.... Or maybe she hurt her head somewhere should I check it?
"Lady Carot, can you come here for a second," I said as I held her hand and pulled her towards an ally.
"Hmm, Lady winter what's wrong? Why did you pull me here?" Violet asked as she took a bite of her cotton candy.
"It's Nothing, I just wanted to check something," I said as I made her sit on a wooden block near me.

"Your head, the road was bumpy so I wondered if you got hurt somewhere," I said as I removed her straw hat and looked at her head.

So, Lady winter can we forget all our past days and becomes friends again." Violet said as she put forward her hand.
"I know everything is out of the blue, But for the past seven days I have seen how much you care about me and how you changed everything just to make me feel comfortable...even though I barely left my room, you still tried your best to communicate with me and make sure I am not lonely. Lady Winter, You are truly too good for anyone out there and I am well aware of the fact that your friends see me as a threat but you trust me...and honestly I trust you too, which is why I don't want us to be awkward anymore. Let's be friends!" Violet said as she looked at me with determination in her eyes.
"Lady Carot whatever you said made me speechless but I have always considered you as a friend. And everything I did is what you deserve. So please don't feel burdened and do whatever you want." I said as I smiled at her.
"And as for about being friends. I accept it!" I said as I held her hands with a cheesy smile on her face.
"I am really delighted to know that...I really am!" Violet said as she hugged me tightly.
"Lady Carot you are holding me very tightly...I can't breathe!" I said as I tied to breakthrough.

"Then lady winter, can I ask for something as a friend..." Violet said as her cheeks turned slightly pink.

She is o embarrassed to say all this but still, she is doing everything she can to become close with me. It's funny and cute at the same time.

"Okay then from now on you can call me Irene, okay Violet," I said as I held her hand.
